I drink from a half gallon to a gallon a day.
However, it is not my main source of protein. Solid food outweights any liquid.

I would like input on this as well. Ive been drinking .5gal-1gal of milk a day now to get my calories to around 3700-4200. It is an easy way to up the calories and since i cant afford protein supplements i am also getting a good amount of protein from it. I of course am also eading a ton of rice, fish, and lean ground beef, and eggs every day. is this a bad idea for me to do?
If you’re drinking 1 gallon of milk/day, you’re not eating a ton of rice, fish, lean ground beef and eggs everyday with that amount of calories
I eat exactly 800 calories of rice, along with 1lb lean ground beef or 1lb fish a day, a long with around 5-6eggs, and a bagel. thats not enough? It comes out to around 4300 calories
So around 2000 calories from food and 2200 from milk, why would this be bad?
Milk is great I have been drinking alot of it my whole life, but if some of you are chugging it trying to get your calories up just buy some extra virgin olive oil and take acouple shots of that during the day.A standard size shot filled to the top has about 400 calories in it.It doesnt tast very good but it will save you some money on milk so that maybe you can afford some protien.
Milk is a great source of protein!! I dunno why people say it isn’t, 1 gallon of milk has 125g of protein and it’s not cheap ass trash proteins, it’s casein and whey. Plus you get plenty of fats and carbs in that 2400 cal (1%) mix! I drank a whole gallon of milk every single day for 3 months straight. I did not have any side effects other than weight gain, nor was there ever any discomfort. I actually looked forward to drinking it. Thirsty? Take a chug of the jug! Milk is the motherfucking shit. It’s whats for dinner!.. and breakfast… and snacktime! But eat some solid stuff during the day as well and make sure you are eating the correct number of total calories to be in surplus.

Milk isn’t expensive.
For 4L in CND its like $5. ~2200 calories for $5 sing me up!
Wow, and I thought I was drinking too much with my 1% quart every morning and half-quart in my pwo shake. Well, guess I’ll add some more milk into my diet, as well.

wasn’t say it was bad. Guess I was looking at 1 gallon/day with only 3700 calories
I used to drink 2 glasses with dinner every night- in addition to what I drank for breakfast or blended protien drink. I have limited myself to one glass for dinner and replaced the other with a zero calorie drink like cyrstal light or walmart versions. I did this because I wanted to get more water in during the day and I havent really noticed a difference. I USED to live and die by it though. I do feel a little better and dont fart as much.

You know that milk is… an aqueous solution right?

What about if it’s my only good source of protein, would you recommend drinking more milk then?
I’d recommend going to a fucking grocery store.
Just be aware for every ounce of milk you are drinking you are getting a gram of sugar as well. Milk also has a high insulin index. Those 2 things may be very important to you depending on your goals. Also, yes most people do have some sort of milk allergy and/or lactose intolerance, so just keep an eye out for that. Skin problems, bloated, aches, etc. I’m confused why it is your only source?
There are plenty of things out there that are just as cheap. And as fas as I know, yes in the US the cows are pumped full of hormones in order to increase production. Unless of course it is organic milk. Also, all of the vitamins that they enrich milk with are fat soluable vitamins…so if for some reason you buy fat free make sure to eat something with it that has a bit of fat.
Does anyone have any insight into the other milk alternatives? Meaning are they just as good as regular milk varieties or do they contain filler products etc. I’m refering to lactiad milk, skim plus, low carb hood milk… etc. For example i know that skim plus has added sugar to make it taste better. That is fine but curious if any of them contain imitation milk products with inferior protein etc… Thanks.
How much milk it too much? When your body doesn’t tolerate the quantity.
by the way… I had 3 glasses of milk this morning and I am now the least popular person at my office. I am literally stinking up 2 rows of desks. So I guess I won’t do that again…
Try to drink a gallon within a one hour time span.
Don’t ask. Just do it.

Look into the product LACTAID (prehydrolyzed milk)and Lactrase (contains enzyme lactase). Looks like you are “somewhat” lactose intolerant.
I consume about 7 servings of milk. Egg whites and whey protein are one of the purest sources of protein you can have but milk is not far off. In terms of quality protein 20 grams of protein from milk is much better than 20 grams of protein from multi grain bread.

Where did you read milk has a high “insulin index?”
Every listing for full-fat milk I can find in the glycemic index is listed as 46 or lower. Some being in the 20s.
Anything listed as 55 or lower is considered to have a low glycemic effect.
