wrist curl are u kidding me? when i see guys doing wrist curls at my gym i just laugh. do some deads or pull ups with out straps. asking how much u wrist curl is more queer of a question than asking someone how mucH he di** lifts… ok maybe not but thats besides the point.
I do heavy deads/weighted pull ups without straps and my forearms didn’t start really growing until I added in some wrist curl variations. I don’t see what’s so funny about them.
I know they can help with some added hypertrophy in the forearms, but I made this whole thread for the purpose of showing that the relevance of the numbers on these exercises is none. You don’t base progress on these exercises by numbers alone, but by mirror assessement; ex. if you’re lateral raising with the 60’s and your shoulders suck, you have to rethink the form of the exercise, the rep range, the total amount of work, the rest you give to that muscle group on your split, and even the pump. You have to look at the bigger picture at diet, supplementation, and recovery and sleep. These numbers have nothing to do with the importance of a decent bench press, whether it’s barbell or dumbbell.

Do they count if we do them on the moon?
Yes and no. You would have to take the weight you use on the moon and multiply it by .833 because moon gravity is 83.3% that of the earth. Only then can we compare the weight you use on the moon.

At a rate of 75 strokes a minute I’d say between 225 and 300 strokes depending what show’s on Telemundo. I have a right hand/left hand split with a rest day after that.
Looks that you’re following Lee Priest’s advice, very well done.
Yes! Although I haven’t seen gains in years (since puberty). I may have to reverse my grip.

Everyone knows what are the standard for bench, squat and deadlift. But what is a decent wrist curl? Post how much do you wrist curl, and what are you present big three number (so I can compare and make my mind)
The responses in this thread and the fact that it was moved to the Get A Life forum on a bodybuilding website make me kinda sad.
Wrist curls are a valuable exercise, and one that is neglected by many (such as, apparently, all the people in this thread who think it’s “ghey”, which makes zero sense).

It really helps if you already have the fat grip version. The pump is tremendous.

I don’t think people think wrist curls are ghey; the inquiry about how much weight you use compared to your “big three lifts” is what makes this a Get A Life topic and some good old fashioned ball-breaking.
