I normally heat my meals in a glassware with a plastic lid for a minute or two.
I’m concerned at how safe it is to use the plastic lid (came with the glassware) while microwaving. I heard chemicals will leak in the form of xenoestrogens(???) etc.
And I heat my meals all the time so would this have a cumulative effect over the years?
Or am I just being paranoid… Hmm…
PS- another thing I worry about is cooking with Teflon coated pans. Are they safe too?

Neither is safe, but you have to pick your battles. We don’t nuke plastic and we cook w/ teflon.

Exactly.
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Worry about your overall nutrition and training. There are “evil” things everywhere you go…microwaves, plastic bottles, the water you drink, antibacterial soaps, etc.
If it’s something I’m determined to find, I’m good at it. If you want info on herbs, aromatherapy, homeopathy, homebirths, and natural living, then I’m your girl! But I’m getting there w/ training and T-Nation.
I agree with what has been said but am I the only one here that finds it humorous that he’s worried about what to put the food in when he is MICROWAVING it----ahhh either way you’ve damaged the nutrients ya know.
