How Is This Crap Being Published?

There are a lot of these ridiculous “mythbusting” articles online, not just for health, although a lot of them seemed to be geared that way.

One thing i’ve noticed is that the myths are presented in a misleading fashion. For insance:

Myth: High fructose corn syrup causes weight gain

But that sentence taken by itself is TRUE. Just because it’s not worse than normal sugar doesn’t mean regular sugar isn’t shit too.

A lot of the myths presented on these lists are actually true they’re just false in a few cases.

But god, 8 grams of protein? Christ.[/quote]

i love hearing the anti-HFCS (don’t get me wrong, i do believe that it doesn’t belong in the diet period) people reply with “just drink soda sweetened with cane sugar instead, it’s much healthier for you”

sure buddy i’m sure my insulin will conveniently ignore all that cane sugar coming into my body

the microwave society !

  • i want the perfect job
  • i want the perfect body
  • i want perfect kids
  • i want millions of dollars
  • i want my kids in the best schools
  • i want the fanciest material possessions

I WANT IT ALL NOW AND I WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO PAY FOR IT

this applies to much more than just our health these days

Unfortunately. And look at the repercussions it has caused.

I just heard a commercial on the radio for chocolate milk that quoted this study. They were trying to push chocolate milk as a recovery drink for athletes.

Un-fucking-believable.

whats even better is when I tell people to look here for good info they’re like no way!!! bb.com for lyfe!~!@#!%!@Y&^$&^

You don’t see why?

This site just released an article about the Olympia contest written by someone who didn’t seem very interested at all in the bodybuilders who were actually competing. Would bb.com do the same?

It’s about heart…and I am beginning to doubt that most here are more developed than the people over there.

This site has a lot to offer but they contradict themselves by using professional bodybuilders for the visual impact with all of their articles and then turning around and NOT openly promoting bodybuilding in a positive light.

Considering the positive changes made in pro bodybuilding lately, that doesn’t make much sense.

Is the OP promoting not eating before bed???

Not eating before bed?

Eating before bed DOES make you fat?

What?

Eating fat does not make you fat, and neither does eating before bed.

The article said nothing about 1500 calories before bed. If you’re eating every 3 hours, you’re not going to have 1 1500 calorie meal. The article said nothing of WHAT foods to eat. No sugar before bed of course. I regularly eat before bed, or just have a protein shake and fish oil. As does 90% of this site.

Chocolate milk is fine PWO.

I am also not sure why people are laughing at that one. Get rid of the fucking idea that you need some specific ratio of nutrients to make progress. Get food in you after training. There’s nothing wrong with chocolate milk especially at that time unless you are dieting.

I used to buy a pint of chocolate milk and add a scoop of vanilla whey after every workout. It tastes like fudge. It’s so damn good after training.

Well said.

I personally don’t think the article is as bad as everyone on the first page is making it out to be. I disagree with Dr. Rosenbloom on a few points here and there, but I’m glad I’m not the only person shaking his head at some of the comments about it.
