How Has Covid Affected You?

Weed stores still open here. Thank goodness.

On a related note, here is one of my favorite sports stories of the decade. Golden Tate, high as balls, found in a donut shop at 3am. And no one was mad about it hahaha https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/seahawks/the-great-maple-bar-caper-seahawks-golden-tate-caught-in-3-am-visit-to-top-pot-doughnuts/

Lmao yes we definitely are. Yall just got me stressing now.

My buddy uses potatoes to make shine. Liquors not gunna be as hard to come by in my parts. We got more potatoes then we could ever eat haha

Are you supposed to make vodka from potatoes?

That would be a real predicament to live above a cities famous confectionery or bakery like that even without the munchies as a factor, let alone when they are. Especially when they’re running a fresh batch for the morning. Of maple bars.

you’re not in a big city then lol. I’m in Dallas. Shit is absolutely shut down, and all the suburbs are starting to do the same. In Dallas, all those things you mentioned are closed. Everyone I know is working remotely or just out of work for the time being.

I didn’t realize you were here too.

My brother was going to Japan in a couple weeks. That’s definitely off the table.

side note @ChickenLittle and @studhammer : sounds like y’all are both relatively close to Austin then? If you’re ever up for it, I go down there every few weeks to see my coach at Big Tex Gym. I’d be down to meet and get in a workout anytime!

Actually, I’m outside of Austin and in the last 2 days, shit has gone crazy and everything but gas stations and grocery stores are closed.

Prices have not yet gone up but people are beginning to realize they may be facing shortages so I’m sure they will soon. (In South Dakota.)

My cousin was released from jail 4 hours away from me a few days ago. I drove overnight to one of the more remote parts of our state in a light snowstorm to bring him back home before the reservation he was on shut down roads the next day.

It was late, snowing, and gas stations were shut down. Saw more cars then I ever had in those conditions on the road - mostly people bringing in weed and meth before it was too late. The cops had a field day, haha.

The Asian community here has been losing their minds for a couple months, haha. Saw people posting (jokingly) on FB that they had grams for sale, in little baggies. At first glance I thought it was coke or meth or something, but no, just rice.

State of Texas has a hotline to report price gouging due to this shit

Yup, my uncle drove around all day to find rice. One place was selling 8.99 for 2lbs

I was trying to get lean for a lil, but then I decided to eat whatever I want for immune support since a caloric deficit would be an added stressor

Fortunately I have very little reason to go to grocery stores right now. I’m subscribing to 2 meal delivery services (gobble and freshly), one does premade meals, the other you cook yourself. It’s working well for me. No more grocery shopping.

For household items? I was referring to drugs.

Drove through a higher end middle class neighborhood yesterday - saw a few garages packed full of toilet paper. Like, literally, probably a few hundred rolls. Contemplated a: stealing a few rolls or b: going and telling off the people. “B” would lead to nothing and “A” could get me in trouble so I refrained, angrily, haha.

Damn, I guess I’m clueless today. Drugs? as in gear? I just ordered some more HGH and prices were still the same.

Haha no, street drugs.

Gear can be a street drug. It depends how you get it. But I know what you mean.

You’re from MN, right? Twin Cities or more rural?

South suburbs of the Twin Cities (about 20 minutes out).

Yeah I’m in Mansfield. I went yesterday to academy and Walmart to buy some dumbbells so I can do some stuff at home since I have very little of anything and dammit everyone has beat me to that also. Fuck all I could get was a set of 40’s and 75’s.
It took some thought but I actually had a pretty good leg workout today with limited equipment.
