How Has Covid Affected You?

Is that right listed in The Bill of Rights? Is it an Amendment? Or is it a double secret right only you know about?

Well, if YOU say that it must be true. Could you show us neanderthals some of your research?

Now who is the fascist sheep?

This makes no sense. Does the team that loses the Super Bowl choose to lose?

Refusing to wear a mask isn’t?

The ghettos just created themselves? You are out of your depth, kid.

This would mean that all of those slave owners, including many of the Founding Fathers, were insane.

I don’t think you know what that word means. Like most teens who use it.

As much fun as I poke at places like Alabama, the South has gotten a bad rap as far as racism goes. In the North racists are just more subtle.

You do know that Tucker is on Fox so your statement makes no sense.

Quite a few of the most segregated school districts and neighborhoods are actually in the North

Is it listed in those documents? Of course not. What a complete silly question. It’s not a law, nor can it be reasonably enforced, so yes, I have the right to choose.

Google please.

I think you know what I mean here. Please don’t be facetious.

Refusing to wear a mask is not a publicity stunt. I’m not trying to draw attention to myself. Just making a conscious decision for myself.

Please don’t be facetious.

Slavery no longer exists, at least not legally. So your argument is invalid. You know what I’m talking about.

This is why I’m asking you if you’re sure about what you think about yourself or if you just tell yourself these things because that’s what you’d prefer to believe.

That’s not how rights work.

You aren’t? Then how do any of us know you refuse to wear one?

I don’t think you know what invalid means.

You have a right to choose to drive drunk, don’t you? It’s illegal due to the consequences that can occur, but you have a right to choose, correct?

You don’t know what rights are, for your own good, stop. Ability and choice do not mean right.

Incorrect. See above.

Here’s a word for you to look up: sophomoric.

2 : something to which one has a just claim: such as

a : the power or privilege to which one is justly entitled
//voting rights

//his right to decide

His right to decide. Am I missing something?

Who’s seen the CDC’s guidelines for schools?

I did.

They just have to not let kids in. Boogers and stuff everywhere.

There is Absolutely no chance what so ever that it would not spread like wild fire through elementary schools and daycare/learning centers.

Depending on how ridiculous things get, we’re talking about homeschooling.

I’ve already been. We do the Google classroom thing as required, then other learning/activities on our own.

Here’s his nature/art project from yesterday:

My oldest is still a year out from Kindergarten so maybe this will be sorted out by then. I think school has already become a tough environment for kids, young boys in particular, and now it’s just going to be worse.

Yeah. There are a lot of discontented parents that have expressed a lot of “I didn’t sign up for this shit” type stuff.

I disagree completely, but I just keep that to myself because most of them are just as stressed and overwhelmed as anybody else.

Turns out that whole “wine mommy” thing just doesn’t work too well with long term responsibilities like shaping your child’s mind.

I’m so glad my kid graduated last year. I’m also kind of glad he was in-between jobs when this hit. There’s a lot worse things you can do than spend all day fishing and hunting during a pandemic. Easy gap to explain in the future. Lucky kid.

Yes. Answer this: can someone be legally stopped from driving drunk? In other words, can someone be stopped from making that choice? We know the answer is yes. How can that be if one is justly entitled to make that choice?

Those are the parents who don’t parent their kids anyway and defer that responsibility to the schools. Now they get to see the little monsters they unleashed on the world with no means of escape.

I’m glad you’re enjoying time with your kiddo. Kid’s education is a stress bomb to begin with, I can’t imagine what this homeschooling situation must be like. My brother goes to a private school that transitioned remarkably well, but the stress around APs and college apps still got to my mom

reading about all the parenting nightmares has only strengthened my resolve not to have kids…
Unrelated, but the “imagine what that body would look like with a 40lb weight gain from pregnancy” shit didn’t help either

How does remote schooling work when both parents have to work? How do schools follow IEPs of special ed students on a computer? We have 3 boys on the spectrum, 2 with dyslexia, and I promise you we parent our boys. That doesn’t mean we are equipped to be special education teachers while also working full time jobs.
