What is wrong with decent people whether black, white, or ‘green’, choosing not to use it as beholding to common decency and what is right? We can’t change what others whether in the hood or aryan brotherhood say, but we can change what we choose to say.

Goes for the word wigger as well which we all know means white nigger and implies a white person is no better then a ‘nigger’ and nigger being a derogatory word for blacks.

Episode #1 of Chapelle show is possibly the funniest thing I have ever seen with Clayton Bigsby, the black white supremist. Well, I’ll give you my view on why they use it. Going way back to the years of slavery when ‘nigger’ was used by the people who owned them to denigrate and keep them subjugated. For them it was a word that held power over them. Often when a term is used in that way while enduring a hostile and brutal existence, even though negative, it over time becomes a symbol of pride over what was endured by the ones enduring it. So, we all know thru those years into the early twentieth century it was used by the KKK and in the South heavily in an attempt to keep a group of people down and not wanting their God given rights. Well, again, it morphed into a twisted kind of symbol of pride and has been used by many blacks in the hood who are engaged in self destructive and negative behavior. And, then copied by white kids who view this ghetto life in a romantic fashion even though they never lived it.

In the end you just have to ask who gave this word to be used as a name for a group of people. It wasn’t blacks who originated it, but whites who held power of them.

To me it’s an ugly word and one I choose not to use in any manner.

For me at least, it’s not the way they’re dressing that bothers me, but rather the attitude associated with dressing like that. I don’t care what colour you are, but when you swagger around thinking you’re the shit when you’re really just an ignorant fuckstick it pisses me off.

Chris Rock made it perfectly clear when it was ok for a white person to use the ‘n word’.That’s all one needs to know.
On a serious note…Our local equivalent here is the word ‘kaffir’,and it’s definitely not ok to use for either blacks or whites or any other hue here.While you do see it used in these forums,it is used in its context as meaning ‘non believer’.

While technically the correct meaning of the word,trying to claim that particular usage in S.A. would be laughable and no one would believe you if you said that’s what you meant.Because in the local context,you would be talking shit.
So while wigger may be descriptive to some,if you don’t understand that it’s offensive and basically a watered down pejorative,You may need to re-asses your understanding of communication.

People swagger around and think their the shit wether they drive a bentley to the club in a nice suit…or walk around in the mall and bump into and don’t excuse themselves…the rich do it…whites do it …blacks do it…you can act like an arogant prick no matter how you dress. True, this guy I know told me about how he offered a homeless guy some food and the guy just got disappointed. I really think a very large portion of homeless people are either people who do this maliciously to avoid working for their cash, or drug addicts who no doubt still don’t want food in place of money. Seriously, homeless guys earn more than cashiers so they have to be on drugs or just taking advantage of people’s charity.

It’s even worse in thirds world countries that have a lot of tourists. Little kids have skits planned out and shit. Except there I don’t know about them. Here poor people are lazy but there? Maybe a lot more circumstance involved.

There is a big difference between a ‘wigger,’ and a white dude with some hip hop tendencies. Wiggers, and wiggrettes, are white people who are so vapid, unintelligent and culturally clueless, that they identify some sort of universal validation and accomplishment with acting like negative black stereotypes that black people themselves acknowledge and generally try to reject.

As for ‘wigger,’ some how being ‘nigg@r’ by proxy, I don’t really thinks that’s fair, and I also don’t really think it’s relevant, because by and large they fit the stereotypes most blacks would identify with the ‘n-word,’ so to speak. For example, black people call eachother ‘nigga,’ often as like a camaraderie term based on old southern speech, but it also indicates, the worst stereotypes of that culture and is often used derisively, such as as ‘quit actin like a nigga,’ or ‘he’s no man, he’s just a nigga.’ Anyways, this sort of term is common in American Latino culture as well, Cholo is used more or less in the same way. The origin of the term means ‘mutt,’ more or less, and basically identifies the person as someone who is half indian and lacks european social mores. ‘Indio,’ is a more grave word and never really used as a term of camaraderie, always more derisively. ‘Hoosier,’ or ‘redneck’ is also used among the white community in a similar fashion. So a ‘wigger’ to me, isn’t really an offensive term, no more than like a ‘black redneck,’ or ‘black hoosier,’ is some kind of racial assault.

Anyways, there is a difference between me, when I go out, wearing my oversized jacket, ball cap and a beater, and the the hobos I’m talking about.

Man I find it so sad that people are letting a word get people so riled up. I agree that it shouldn’t be used due to the way it has been used. Wiggers are to the Black Community, as Anime Nerds are to the Japanese Community. I guess the main difference is, Anime Nerds at least prize some of the positive aspects of Japanese Culture, even if they are misguided and culturally vapid, while Wiggers, pretty much emulate the worsts aspects of the American Black community and perpetuate terrible stereotypes into new skintones.
