Does anyone know that “history will repeat itself if we forget” quote? Or who its by?

I could be completely off, but Im pretty sure it goes like that.

My teacher asked if I could write with less of a sarcastic overtone. I said “I thought you asked us to write with our voice?” She said it was ok to do that with a response paper but a formal one I cant. So I have to be more sarcastically formal now!
