Would Aromasin be a viable option to reduce SHGB?
Inhibiting estrogen to lower SHBG, it just seems counterproductive. TRT will lower SHBG, problem solved. You have a natural buffer for estrogen, use it.
I found a GP who was willing to work with me and do TRT. Starting dose 100mg test C once weekly due to high SHGB (97) and A-dex twice a week .5mg I believe, still need to pick up the script. I mentioned HCG several times but he seemed to not have a clue about it and was not willing to prescribe, thinks fertility is not an issue. I’ve already ordered it from reliable pharmacy and plan to do 250 twice a week. So I received first pin of Test today and am wondering if I should hold off on the AI or start dosing today?
No reason to take an AI that dosing can’t fix, you just have to dose smartly, more frequently if necessary. Having high SHBG means you have a natural buffer to bind up testosterone and estrogen, high SHBG men do not typically need AI’s.
Your levels will be influx for 6 weeks and it will seem like estrogen is high at times, these are only fluctuating levels and do not represent where you will be in 6 weeks.
I’ve been on 12mg/day subutex (buprenorphine) for almost 10 years. My total T before TRT was almost 600 so for me at least the subutex didn’t have a large effect. Supplementing iron was a huge game changer for me. There’s a lot of ways to do it incorrectly so here’s what has worked for me and made a major difference in how I feel. Bigger than 200mg/week of TRT.
*Taken 1 hour after caffeine (caffeine inhibits iron n absorption)
*Taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after food (needs to be an empty stomach)
- 106mg elemental iron (Ferrets brand from Amazon)
- 1000mg vitamin C
- 1200mg L-lysine powder in water (bulk supplements from Amazon)
I do that twice a day. Great way to get your ferritin levels up as quickly as possible.
Cool thank you. So best course of action would be to wait till bloods and go from there with AI? I’ll be running HCG too
Thanks for the info man. I have been supplementing iron with vit c and iodine in the mornings. I’ll look into that brand you mentioned. Any specific reason for the L-Lysine?
I read a couple studies showing people using vit C & iron vs adding L-lysine and the group that had the L-lysine had significant increases in ferritin and iron levels than those without it. Plus it has some other great effects on the body that I can’t remember. I think it was the immune system. Many people take it for fever blisters and it works great (I don’t have them).
Dial-in on TRT in isolation and add the other stuff later after you’ve had a chance to see what TRT feels like, then if you add the HCG and feel worse, you’ll know HCG isn’t for you.
It’s difficult to figure everything out when you’re taking a bunch of different compounds all at once.
@KSman could I get some input on my situation, it’d be highly appreciated.
Ksman has not been around for a while, not sure you will get a response from him
Ahh thanks for the reply man
