High Hemocrit/RBC Metrics

Hey guys, I’m very new to TRT injections. Doing 120mg per week with 2 shots per week. Just saw a urologist because I want a proper doc to look at my labs on a regular basis vs. the online clinics. I just started injections a few days ago, but when I chatted with doc today, he mentioned that as we test, I should expect to donate blood every 3 months. Separately, he wants me to start HCG during my follow up in 4 weeks.

I searched this forum and the last conversation I found was from late 2019 so figured I’d ask the experts here again, what are the lab metrics I need to keep an eye out for? Tbh, the one thing that scares me about TRT is a blood clot or DVT.

I’m 45, 25lbs overweight, but do HIIT 3x per week. I’d call myself “fit-fat.” I mostly eat high protein-low carb. I’m currently going on a cut because I need to get rid of this belly.

Thanks all.

From my understanding if you have a clotting disorder, TRT can cause a clot. These men represent less than 1% of the population.

In general people not on TRT can gets blood clotts.

What I’m trying to say here is TRT doesn’t “cause” blood clots.

Fantastic video!! A lot more people should watch it. Thanks Systemlord.

I take 200mg/wk and currently on a 500mg blast with no AI. Take 2.5mg of Cialis to keep BP in check
And drink plenty of water to keep things flowing. I exercise every day so not sure what your life is like, but workout to keep give your CVS to adapt to the new HCT and RBCs you will be producing. I donated once, and I havent since. Your doc is just making sure you dont get sluggish. Depending on blood donations could stimulate the opposite desired effect. At 120mg/week this is overkill.
