HGH and Side Effects

Especially if you take high doses for years you’ll get problems. If you are coming off periodically, there should be high rates of recovery of the involved systems. They are really adaptable.

Supra doses for years will usually produce blood sugar problems. For long term, I’d look to “just” optimal substitution doses.

What is your threshold for optimal? The range on my lab is 52-328 ng/mL, I was thinking of aiming for somewhere between 250 and 300 and running that until I die pretty much

Can’t handle the heavy lifting I mean

If my IGF stays in “normal” range do i still get a diabetes risk?

As per the studies I’m aware of, GH itself mediates insulin resistance while IGF promoters insulin sensitivity. So what you’d want from a diabetes stand point is low GH with high IGF-1.

IGF1 has actions distinct from those of growth hormone in carbohydrate, lipid, and protein metabolism. For example, excess growth hormone causes insulin resistance and hyperglycemia, whereas IGF1 has insulin-like effects that reduce blood glucose levels and has been used experimentally to treat both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Would taking it once in 24 hours help mitigate that side effect, because of HGH has such short half life?

I don’t know the answer, but I think that reasoning makes sense.

Hey hope all is well. Recently I took 1iu everyday for 3 days. And I was going thru hypoglycaemia so I backed off. I was using pharma grade hgh, and it seemed to be very strong or maybe just for me. Anyway I’ve stopped the drug and I keep getting constipated, and I’m having to take laxatives everyday. My overall symptoms are getting better but I still have decent bloating day to day etc. wondering if anyone could help me? Thanks :call_me_hand:

And it has been around 2 to 3 months now.

I highly doubt GH is you issue here.

I only got constipated ever since I took it. So I put two and two together, I’m not a doctor anyway. But I was going hypo for a long time. And it definitely sped up my metabolism when I was on it. So maybe after I stopped taking it, it slowed downed my digestion. I hope that’s the case. And maybe it’ll just take sometime before my digestion comes back to normal. A common side effect of hgh is constipation. But yeh just wondering if there is anything other than laxatives

GH will raise blood glucose. Opposite of going hypo.

GH is not the reason. You took 3iu over the course of 3 days.

I would think if the GH did cause constipation it would resolve fairly quickly after stopping so again, I doubt it’s the GH.
Do you take fiber? Start with 7g/day and keep raising it until it resolves. I take 15-30g/daily of whole psyllium husk and digestion is great.
This is the one I use

You can also use this one if you want pills. You gonna be taking a lot though. This si what my wife takes.

Yeh. I get decent amount of fiber. I do have a high protein diet. I recently got acl surgery that’s why I got hgh in the first place to heal faster. But I haven’t been able to do any cardio. As I’m not allowed to run. But before I could still shit normally even after surgery. I just reckon it inflamed the fuck out my gut. I’m taking triphala, vitamin b and all that shi to help digest. But yeh I still shit. It’s just fkn hard work. Becuase I had really low blood sugar for like 3 days. And then once I stopped I got really sick. Like gastro, vomiting fever etc. but I’m fine now, just this constipation bs, it is getting better slowly. Just wondering on why, and how to speed the process up. I appreciate the help there tho. I just reckon it doesn’t help not being able to run either

Maybe to do with the fact it fkd with my insulin big time

My blood sugar levels are fine now tho

At the start of hgh it can make you go hypo. But if you’re on it long term then it will def make your blood sugar go higher than normal. I wasn’t running insulin at all with it either

I will check out that supplement for sure

I reckon the stomach flu that the hgh gave me. The stomach flu gave me IBS
