Morning folks, just got some blood work back. Red levels all high. I’ve heard mixed answers on the necessity of donating blood. Thoughts? Also my Estradiol is very high. I don’t notice anything different, but I haven’t been on TRT long enough to know if I’d feel better with lower levels. I do not take an AI, I drank the TNation Kool Aid in that I shouldn’t. Open to thoughts on that as well.
RBC 5.91 (4.2-5.8)
Hematocrit 51.8 (39.5-50)
Hemo 17.9 (13.2 - 17.1)
TT 1390 (250 - 820)
Estradiol 110 (<39)
This is with 200 mg/wk TC, split to 3 injections per week.
That’s not a high E2 for that TT level. How was your hydration at time of blood draw? I wouldn’t worry too much about it but if you are concerned make sure you are fully hydrated and get another test. Im not sure there are many here that advocate blood draws as its really a temporary solution. Have you considered dropping your dose a little bit and seeing if your HCT drops as well? Where is your FT?
My hydration is never great so I’m sure it wasn’t the best. I probably had an energy drink and nothing else that morning before the test. I didn’t get free T, I have to private pay in my State which makes it more than $500 a draw. I’d drop the dose if the hct is an issue I suppose but I feel good on this dose.
Then I would get the test actually hydrated and go from there.
That’s expensive. If you’re in a state that allows DAT you can get TT and FT together for under $50.
