I did not read all the way up. But as long as your testes work (not primary hypogonadism) clomid can help you temporarily. I would not do more than 25 mg EOD. you need to monitor estrogen with the estradiol sensitive test.
Also get LH and FSH tested before and during clomid.
Some guys have symptoms like low libido and ED even while T goes up on clomid. It is def worth a try esp since you are 27.
When i tried (am 41), it boosted my T but not enough. My testes are older than yours
But i did notice improved hair growth, better orgasm with a nice big loads.

Thanks for your input @anon10230041 It’s really appreciated.
How long did you use clomid for, and was it in hope of a possible restart?
As you say it’s definitely worth a try, as libido, energy levels etc is all terrible at the moment.
I tried because I was thinking I can increase LH and FSH, which it did, and get off clomid and be fine. But that rarely works for folk my age.
I have a thread on here if your interested.
I ended with injections.
You can only try.i did for for about 6 weeks. You can always switch to another form of therapy if it doesn’t work. You should give it at least 6 weeks. Take labs after about 4 weeks on clomid.
Also I have no concern about fertility if I did I may have stayed in clomid longer.

I have just spent some time reading your whole thread.
Makes interesting reading and appears you are just fine tuning your trt protocol.
My most recent labs were:
Testosterone: 6.4 nmol/L 9.0-----29.0
FSH: 3.9 IU/L 1.5-----12.4
LH: 5.1 IU/L. 1.7-----8.6
SHBG: 14 nmol/L 16------56
Vitamin D: 94 nmol/L
When I was around age 19 I was on no regular medication but still appeared to have low T symptoms.
I do wonder if my HPT Axis was messed up due to a very nasty virus I had around the same time I started noticing low T symptoms. I was really I’ll, lost a massive amount of weight, couldn’t eat for weeks, horrible taste in my mouth when having a drink or cleaning my teeth, etc.
Hopefully we’ll all get there in the end.
With that low fsh number def worth a shot with clomid.
I also think now that am on trt that I was always low normal testosterone. Because I have decent hair growth now. I need to actually shave more than 1x a week.
Thinking back I remember in college wrestling for fun with a buddy and he fell on my head. 1/2 my head was numb for days went for MRI back then and it was fine. But who knows it may have f’d up my hpta. Also remember sucking up my testicle in a vacuum (maybe intentional idk) when I was younger. That may have screwed me up to. The stupid shit us guys do.
Edit-i just re-read your first post . And those meds def cause an issue. Am sure the other guys mentioned that. So that’s a curve ball. Keep that in mind.
Keep us posted.
Hi @anon10230041
I have decided to give clomid a try.
I’m going to be sourcing them myself as my endocrinologist believes clomid to be a women only medication, even though many UK doctors now use it for men who want children in the future.
I’ve found an online site ( I won’t name it here ) where I can get 24 x 50mg clomiphene citrate tablets for £20 plus P+P UK to UK.
I intend on having tests before starting, to check:
Testosterone, LH, FSH, SHBG and Oestradiol
Do you think 12.5mg EOD will be okay to start?
I will be paying for private testing once started clomid, as my doctor probably won’t do testing if I source clomiphene citrate myself.
Any other advice you can give me before starting will be much appreciated.
I would check
Total t
Free t
Estradiol sensitive
Lh
Fsh
Shbg
Tsh
Free t3
Free t4
If they pay add complete metabolic panel and CBC and lipid panel.
I would start at 25 EOD. Then take same labs above after 4 full weeks.

I would skip FT direct measurement and just use TT and SHBG to get FT scores.

Thanks @anon10230041 and @systemlord
I don’t think Oestradiol sensitive is available in the UK.
I will get my GP to do as many tests as possible and then after 4 weeks at 25mg EOD, I will pay for private testing which is 40 tests including thyroid etc.
Oestradiol is obviously the one I will need regular private testing on while on clomid.

Hi Guys
Having bloods done in the morning and I’ve now got my clomid ready to start 25mg EOD.
Do you think I should wait until I have my blood results before starting the clomid, as I have never had e2 checked previously even though I was on trt…I know
Also if you have any other info that would be helpful ( Best time of day to take the clomid, anything I should be aware of…etc
Much appreciated
I think you can start. I personal took during the day. Whenever you choose to take it just take it that same time EOD.
You typically would not start an AI until you have elevated e2 anyway.
Thanks @anon10230041
Yeah I was thinking it would be okay to start now aswel, and my results will be back in a few days anyway.
You never used an AI did you?
Any side effects you noticed and how long.
Thanks
When I started clomid my e2 was low. Did not need ai on clomid. I did not have any bad symptoms. Just did not really help with ED. But i am older. Younger fair better on it.
Let us know how it goes.
@KSman @systemlord @anon10230041
Hi Guys,
My bloods came back today but I am unable to get a print out until Monday.
However I did ask ask what my E2 levels were as I’ve never had it checked before.
I was told over the phone it’s 51 with an upper limit of 192 ( pmol/l…I think
So after looking at reference ranges it appears 50 is the lower limit, so apparently I have:
Low Testosterone
Low SHBG
And Low E2
How is this going to effect the clomid ive started at (25mg EOD)???
Like how I was. Low everything. Clomid brought my t, e2 up to normal, and shbg up slightly

If e2 is low with t. That’s a good sign.
Glad to know I’m not alone @anon10230041. Do you mean as I have naturally low E2 that T will be easier to manage? Last time I was on T it was a nightmare but this time I am alot more informed about what needs to be done.
Its weird because I always thought my E2 was high.
Will just have to see if the clomid does anything first before jumping back on trt.
How low is SHBG? Clomid will raise SHBG.

Hey @systemlord
I won’t have my full results until Monday but my SHBG last time was:
14 nmol/L 16------56
That was with my T level at 6.4 Nmol/l, and today it was 7. Something
I’m hoping that this clomid is going to start raising the numbers but only time will tell.
Low thyroid function will also lower SHBG.
