It would fascinate me to learn what is going on at the hormonal level when one is angry.
I’ve performed well while being ‘adrenalized’ -that is, while having copious amounts of adrenaline surging through me (i.e. the game is on the line, the team is short-handed, old rivalry etc…)
But I’ve never performed well while angry.
I’ve certainly performed while angry…or gotten angry while performing…but it never did me much good, to be honest. In fact in probably hurt more than help.
I’m sure I have tons of adrenaline surging through me while I’m angry too. But, there’s got to be a difference between being angry and being fired-up.
Have you ever found yourself “In the Zone”?
Performing at a level well beyond your capabilities for some unknown reason?
Does it happen while you’re angry?
It never has for me.
Hmmpht!
