Help w/ Measuring Accurate Dosage

I was looking for this answer everywhere! This is invaluable… Thank you very much for taking the time to show this… I was wondering if you knew how to calculate how much the reservoir and needle holds with drawing with a 18gx 15.in and a 3ml syringe? So I was drawing with that needle. Using the air pocket behind the test, then switching needles to a 25g 1.5… I thought I was doing 60mg 2x a week and my labs were 1500 plus! They were off the charts! Just switched to an insulin pin, and it’s so much better…

With an 18 gauge 1/2" it’s giving me an extra 0.06ml. If you’re using a 1.5" needle expect that number to increase. It won’t be necessarily triple but it will be close. That’s why it is important to draw all the oil into the syringe to see how much is actually there. So measure the oil in the needle plus 0.1ml. Then draw all the oil into the syringe to see how much you have over and above 0.1ml and then you’ll know how much the needle contains. This way you will adjust your daily dose accordingly.

Thank you again for the quick response, My levels have been through the roof because I was given advice to do the air pocket method at the start of my TRT from a friend who is also on trt. Indeed it does help with waste but I would only reccomend this method to someone that is on a steroid cycle and wants to inject large amounts of test. I wouldnt reccomend it at all now actually knowing how great insulin needles are now. Thank you good sir for your help and a great video! I am really liking the insulin needles and doing the subcutaneous method of injecting 2x a week…

I’m not quite following. The airlock technique is probably more useful for guys on TRT than guys on cycles since TRT guys are often doing daily shots (lots of waste in the needle) vs cycle guys doing less frequent (though larger) shots. I use the air lock technique even when using an insulin needle.

@dbossa
What size needle are you using and are you using removable tip syringes?
