HELP: Nutritionist Job Interview

I appreciate the responses…

I havent had the interview yet so I am still studying. I dont see the difference between using google and asking people who are part of a great fitness and nutrition website for some help.

But to those who helped, thanks alot…I sincerely appreciate it…the competition for the job is high but hopefully with some luck I’ll have a chance.

Its sad but most of this is just plain common sense. Must you hear it from a nutritional “guru” that you should stay away from drive thru foods, processed crap, and most things people eat? Most people I have talked to, read about, and those who take this seriously know how and what to eat without any advanced knowledge. They simply do trial and error, research for themselves via this site and the internet in general. What you are asking for is within your own grasp, you are just being lazy.

So what your saying is that I should go online and look for info. Maybe even ask some people who have the knowledge already to help me. Its ok, I have lost all faith in peoples ability to help one another. Everyone seems to want to criticize and scoff rather than help someone asking a simple question on a website that has questions like these asked all the time.

Im out… thanks to those that helped

noooooo you wanted help to fake it during a job interview for a job for which you weren’t qualified.

If your job is explaining/relating the glycemic index and regulation of insulin and proper nutrition for weight gain or loss and you don’t know what the heck you are explaining, you might not be the person for the job.

sometimes adult answers and not just enabling answers are the ones folks need.

Im not going to argue with you. I got the job and they are sending me away to do a two week course on the subject. Im NOT QUALIFIED therefore “Faking” my way into a job isnt going to happen.

Then congratulations!

If they are training you and teaching you what you need to know for the job than that is great

Thanks, My major is in youth leadership and human resources so I work well with people and the job is more for emotional support than actual decision making regarding nutrition. I do appreciate the responses, both positive and negative and I understand that people really just dont want to see overweight people given the wrong info form a guy who just wanted a job. But thats not the case :). I may be back on for more help from time to time looking for tips that can motivate people. They need more of a Chris Shugart kind of person than a Thib if you know what I mean. (and i love Thib dont get me wrong lol)
