If anyone uses or knows of A knowledgeable trt Doctor in the Philadelphia area can you advise please. I looked into dr. Shippen but the reviews seemed mix and he’s getting up there in age.
Did you find one around Philly? I see you been prescribed HCG, which doctor gave you that?
I went to 4 doctors: 2 urologist and 2 endocrinologist. All of them prescribed TRT to me but don’t have experience in monitoring blood work. For example I had to tell them about gynecomastia (men tits).
Asked about HCG and was told they “don’t prescribe that”.
Wrote letter and mailed it to 60 doctors in Philly area. Basically asking them if they have experience with TRT, HCG, monitoring TRT protocol, and minimizing side-effects like testicular atrophy.
Received 1 phone call and 1 email with 3 endocrinologist names. Made appointments to see if they good doctor but the wait is 3 moths before 1st appointment.
P.S.
For those who reading this and just trying find someone who will prescribe TRT because all your doctors told you NO, here’s name of urologist: Michael Mooreville, MD
272 N Lansdowne Ave, Lansdowne, PA · (610) 259-3434
He doesn’t know much about TRT. You can have him prescribe TRT if you have low T level and then continues on searching for right doctor. From my experience, if you on TRT already, doctors are more willing to continue to treat you. BUT for some reason they don’t want to be 1st doctor who prescribes it. So this urologist can be your “foot in the door” if you had hard time finding someone around Philly area.
BUT I suggest you figure-out if you have Primary or secondary hypothyroidism or BOTH, Before you start TRT. This urologist won’t do that for you, he only will prescribe TRT.
So you have to find doctor that willing to test to figure out if it’s your testicles not producing or your testicles not receiving signal to produce. AND only then start TRT.
If I find good TRT doctor around Philly, I will try to drop name here.
As promised, the name of doctor

He’s only doctor that I could find who is willing to prescribe HCG (AKA Pregnyl) around Philly. He send me to Compounding Pharmacy (Dorneyville Pharmacy in Allentown) that does not except insurance and want about $60 (30 days supply) and plus $25 for delivery if I don’t want to pick it up.
This doctor is OK. So if you can’t find no one to help you then give him a call. Only insurance he accepts is Blue Cross/Shield.
