Hell Is Real And Souls Go There

Despite this being what you’re saying now, you also (try to) shit on evolution, which is supported by observable(something you say is important) evidence, and then go on to talk about the existence of your Christian God, of which there isn’t any observable evidence of, as being the correct stance.
So you’re not only wrong, but you also appear to be in denial of your ignorance when confronted with evidence that runs contradictory to what you want to believe, which is far worse and has lead you to an argument based on circular reasoning and claims of cosmic wizardry to support your stance.
I see. Thanks for visiting with me on this matter. Your perspective is highly valued.
You’re welcome push, any time.

Tell me, Karado. What did Jesus say about hell?

I mean, considering he spent three days there, you’d think he could describe the place more vividly than most.

But was it sheol (Hades) into which he descended? Or gehenna (Tartarus)? Is its place of everlasting torment? Or just oblivion? What does Jesus say?

It’s no coincidence Christian parents don’t have Muslim children or vice versa.
pushharder wrote:
For example, many children today are indoctrinated almost from birth by “science” (the study of observable things) that something that has never been observed in the natural world is in fact yet an indisputable truth.
I don’t understand how someone can be indoctrinated by “science”. Maybe one can be indoctrinated by a specific scientific theory, but not science itself. It is observing, experimenting, using reason. Science has been used by man well before it was called science. Science does not encourage people NOT to question long held beliefs. There is no all encompassing text that cannot be questioned like religions, which DAMN anyone that questions and disbelieves the unquestionable texts.

“Hell Is Real And Souls Go There.”

“Santa’s Workshop Is Real and Elves Work There.”

“The Shire Is Real And Frodo Lives There.”

“The Death Star Is Real And Vader Lives There.”

“Neverland Ranch Is Real And Little Children Slept There.” Whoops.

ATTENTION Chris Shugart, LOWFAT MATT, MODERATORS AND TIM PATTERSON!!!

Would it be too much to ask to create a new off-topic sub forum for all of the creation-versus-evolution threads, the abortion-versus-life threads, the you-are-going-to-hell threads and all other religious-themed threads that don’t have at least a tangential relationship to politics or world events?

I would suggest them being shuttled over to the “Get a Life” forum, but that seems a bit harsh in its implications.

Kneedragger, you know I love you, man, and far be it from me to want to silence you, but I really think you need a little place of your own.
I 2nd this. Don’t care too much for or about the opinions of Mitt Romney followers who want to censor everything that was and currently is good about this place…

T-Nation used to be sexy, now it wears holy Mormon underwear, and it’s religious posters would probably like to see fitness models wearing such.

There are many, many people who will end up in Hell unless they have a conversion. Even some of the posters on these t-boards here. Flame away if you would like, yet the ignore button is an awesome feature on these boards! ; )

There are certain types of people who allow themselves to be intimidated and feared into belief.

You have your religions and beliefs WAY off, Severiano…and I mean WAY off…

The Christian “focus” on this Board is almost exclusively Evangelical and Catholic…NOT Mormon. It fact, over the years there has been absolute hatred directed at Mormonism by many on this Board.

Just a slight correction.

Carry on.

Mufasa

Man creates his or her own heaven or hell. We are our own masters and through thought we make our own reality.

If an entity created us, it is powerful enough and wise enough not to give a shit if we worship it.

What kind of god would say I created you and now you will worship me! Besides parents…
dnlcdstn wrote:

Lets fix this shall we.

Also It was never designed to be a God above / worshiper beneath relationship. God and Adam walked daily in the garden together.

None of them can be satisfactorily proved except for the last.

Y’all take this way too seriously.

So if the first one has never happened, then why do people that were clinically dead have visions that confirm a Heaven and a Hell?

I was baptized catholic I find it functioned mostly on instilling fear into people. Also if you do proper practice ie communion and such and repent you can think what you want which is contradictory. I have ran into mormans from the states who were in Canada doing their whole promotion of god thing. They were very nice people and weren’t pushy like jehovas. lol. I open my door to the jehovas and tell them that we will die by a meteorite or nuclear war, gets them every time ahha.

We are essentially stardust and other other worldly material it is proven. I think though the idealls of christianity when read and understood help create better people yet is not needed for everyone to have good morals.

if you were a judge in a criminal trial, would you accept the testimony of a witness based on what she saw in a dream?

No?

Why not?

Because the testimony was entirely fabricated by her subconscious mind. That is correct.

Now demonstrate how this differs from a “near death experience” and remember that limbic brain function (where dreams are likely processed) continues after what we would consider “clinical death”.

Start doing Patriotic things also when they come over. When the JWs come to my house I ask to sing the national anthem and the pledge of allegiance. I enjoy both the Mormons and the Jehovah Witnesses. I am nice, and they are nice people also. Misguided IMO, but nice people none the less.

I was raised Southern Baptist, and I understand the fear tactic very well. Hell, Fire, and Brimstone to the max. I think now we have swung to the complete opposite or Peach, Love, and Happiness. There has to be a balance of Truth/Justice and Grace/Mercy.

This is where faith comes into play. The same faith that is put into Scientific Theory is put into Religion.

How do you know that “the testimony was entirely fabricated by her subconscious mind”? Most people believe in a “Superior Being”, so why could that “Superior Being” not have placed that vision in her head. One person having a vision does not make it a fact, but multiple people having the same vision over centuries…

Many people believe in Aliens. Have you ever seen an alien? Yet many non-Christians believe we are not alone in this Universe. IMO it is easier to believe in an all loving and Creator God than to believe in we are not alone in this Physical Universe.

V, I know you were once a believer. You made up your mind not to believe in God and that is your choice. I will continue to pray for you. I pray for a lot of you guys and gals on this website. I consider all of you my friends. I will never force my religion on any of y’all, but I will tell you about it. It is the “Good News” not the Fear News, the Bad News, or the You are going to Hell News. I want y’all to know the Love of God that I know.

Faith in science and religion are not near the same IMO. I don’t understand what makes some believe science is just another religion. The major difference is one can prove a scientific theory to be not entirely true or false, and with enough evidence to support it, the scientific community will support the new theory. Christians, Muslims etc will NEVER believe their theory of creation to be false no matter what evidence there is against it.
Maiden3.16 wrote:
Because there has never been any indisputable proof against it. You have any?

The theory of evolution is like putting all the pieces of a Rolex watch into a box. Placing the box of parts into the manufacturing plant. Blowing up the manufacturing plant and out flies a brand new Rolex Watch. Not going to happen ever. It is more believable that a God created everything.

Now if you want to debate the technological evolution of humans then I will be on your side. There is still no evidence that humans evolved from anything. We just all of a sudden appeared out of no where, which is what the Bible teaches.
