They are brilliant live. Majestic even. Saw them with Baroness and High on Fire
Man, I love me some Baroness
@samvariation you wonât be disappointed.
There is a fucking lighting guy that âplaysâ the lights for their shows. Dude is following polyrhythms and the drops on guitars at the same time, perfectly in sync with the music.
No shit ?
Ya they have youtube videos of him playing what looks like some sort of midi drum pad plugged into the lighting software. Pretty badass.
Dudeâs polyrhythms are just insane
Aggressive as hell. Reminds me of a mix of danza, car bomb, chariot and deftones. I think I found a new fave.
You sure heâs not just typing lyrics into a teleprompter for the singer?
âGrowl growl arrrgh growl growâŠrrrahhh diiieee!â
Seriously, thatâs fascinating.
Some DSBM
Beautiful stuff
@dt79 thereâs no screaming, you might be into this
@brickhead powerful music, not traditional BM in the sense of sacreligious lyrical content or imagery. Itâs more or less an instrumental, acoustic with some black metal undertones towards the end. Perhaps youâd appreciate/be able to listen to this.
Actually on second note there appears to be some screaming that I didnât pick up the first three times Iâve listened to this.
Iâm cool with screaming. growling, anything, really as long as the song is good.
I still fall back on Friedman for this kind of soft, instrumental music. I really wish the dude wasnât just associated with the âshredâ genre and Megadeth. Heâs got so much more in him than that.
@marine77 : âTHIS IS A METAL THREAD!â
I know, I know.
Paganiniâs âMoto Perpetuoâ is somewhere in there btw lol.
But this doesnât quite scream âteenage angst and edgy vibesâ does it. Fjaer on the other handâŠ
@dt79 the ending of that first friedman song seemed so out of place, but so perfect. IDK how to describe it.
Saw Marty with Megadeth. Dude can plaaaay
Thanks.
Annihilator was great.
I was referring to the fjaer song (the one to check out).
Believe it or not annihilator have been around since the 1980âs!
Fat tunes
Should be noted shining is really, really, really, really dark. The music is killer though.
We need more violence.
This is the stuff I listen to when I need to be âin the zoneâ, do my hypertrophy stuff density style, like a Beach workout window. This automatically puts me in a dark, aggressive mood with a âfuck offâ face
These two are not metal, but thereâs a stratospheric âoomphâ to it
I like Jungle Rot or Rollins to up the anger
