HCG Use for Libido?

Guys, I’ve been on numerous trt protocols for well over a year. Still trying to achieve some sort of libido and I am thinking about adding in some HCG.

I don’t really care about testicle shrinkage that comes with trt, nor infertility issues. The ONLY reason I’d be taking it is to see if it helps libido. I feel like I have a good attraction to women, but the feeling in my penis is dead. Very little blood flow and sensitivity.

My thoughts are that LH must have some sort of impact on penis feeling and libido and HCG being an analog must help. I am also diagnosed Secondary Hypogonadic, so I’ve always had low LH, AND low libido. I’m thinking there is a link because now, on trt, I still don’t have a sex drive.

Can anyone give opinions on HCG for libido use ? Is it worth trying for this sole reason?

PS lets focus on my question. I know about the other culprits regarding low sex drive, i.e. e2 levels, dht, dopamine, etc.

Thanks for any feedback.

HCG increases libido for some men, but it’s not going to fix libido if your TRT protocol is not right for you. Describe your TRT protocol and any relevant labs. This missing libido may just need some minor tweaking to your protocol.

I guess I should’ve put my question out there a bit more succinct.

I feel like there isn’t much going on in my penis when I am around my gf. The attraction is there in a big way, but the response to making out, etc. doesn’t affect my penis much. It’s like its not involved.

My question is more along the lines of whether people think LH (or it’s analog HCG) affect penis response in a way that testosterone doesn’t.

Your asking a question no one can answer, hence why there are no replies. It sounds like you may have underlying physical problem with the penis. It’s hard to say one way or the other without labs.

You want answers, we want labs.

I disagree.

I’m just asking a basic general question about LH itself and if it affects penis sensitivity, etc. or libido

I’ve never heard of an association between erections and LH, however I have heard LH linked (mood) libido and libido doesn’t sound like an issue. Your TRT protocol may just need some tweaking.

Testosterone and estrogen must be in the correct range for your body to respond properly.

What affected my penile sensation was my e2 level. When it was too low or too high ,esp low, I needed to beat it like crazy to maintain an erection as sensation was low. I would lose erection with wife and even could not get it up during a blow job. And that’s my favorite.

Prolactin level could affect sexual function. And dopamine issues.

Adrenals affect dopamine.

From Google
A deficiency of certain nutrients in the body, such as iron, magnesium or zinc, can produce a dopamine deficiency that results in oversleeping. Coupled with too much sleep is the lack of motivation in individuals suffering from low dopamine levels to initiate most activities, especially exercise, and a tendency to procrastinate together with a feeling that one is unable to cope with life. There is also a dulling of pleasure or the inability to feel it and a lessening of libido. If you suspect you may be suffering from dopamine deficiency, check with your doctor, for dopamine levels are easily tested with a simple dopamine blood test or a urine test and adjusted with prescribed supplements.

Thanks Charlie12

Right now I’ve dropped my test cyp down to 40mg e3d in order to reduce e2 a bit. On 50mg e3d, e2 is around 28 or so.

I’ve tried tyrosine a couple times… 500mg in the morning and MAN does it make me irritable. Like angry. Happens everytime I take it. 500mg is a pretty low dose too.

You have to spend several months in the correct range that your body will respond to, keeping your levels in healthy range in the long run is what’s needed.

there is no such a thing as dopamine blood test
