Anyone else having trouble getting HCG. My pharmacy tells me its on back order. I went through this last year and couldn’t get it for 3 or 4 months. I think the HCG does more for me than Testosterone
Consider it confirmed. I get (or attempt to get) my prescriptions filled at canadadrug pharmacy, and they get it from India. It’s back-ordered.
Surprised that idiot from Texas hasn’t popped in here yet accusing you guys of being lazy for not driving to every pharmacy in your country to verify that it is indeed short…

Well I have my prescription with the largest drug retailing chain in the USA so I don’t see that calling around will do much good. Tried that last time. I tried to order ahead but was a little too late. Some people (and I agree) that the shortage may be from the HCG diet craze.
I started HCG about 8 years ago. I recall paying around 45 dollars per 10,000 I.U. of Novarel in powdered form. As of today, same drug, same pharmacy, they’re asking 165 dollars. In the last two hours I’ve been hunting down some HCG questions, and I’m dumbstruck by the explosion of HCG sites that have no mention of any anabolic benefit. This is a supply issue of a diet-driven market.
The weight loss industry is to bodybuilding what gorillas are to frogs.
My local compounding pharmacy still has it, and they say they have no trouble getting more. But they have been in the hormone business for years, and they likely have well-established suppliers. The average pharmacy probably didn’t know what hit them. But they will adjust, if the market keeps searching it out.
The FDA a few months ago also went on record stating the HCG Diet is not effective and should not be used for this purpose. Hopefully doctors will take this to heart.
So after waiting for 3 months the pharmacy tells me the HCG should be in on Monday. Yippee
I get mine from a Compounding Pharmacy. They guarantee that I will always be able to fill my scrip when I need it. I decided to go with them for that reason, and the fact I live in the SF Bay Area and all the hCG is going to fat chicks who think injecting it and eating 500 calories a day is magic, so every major pharmacy is on back-order.
Unfortunately it costs $85 for a month’s supply. I can’t wait for this fad to die so prices can go back to normal.
There is a shortage for PREGNYL from organon. Pregnyl is by far the cheapeast per 10k IUs ($60 at Sam’s Club). The generics have the benefit of raising their prices to make money during this time as organon experiences manufacturing delays, I just had the pleasure of watching my insurance pay $180 for my 10k IUs. There is no such thing as a backorder right now as all the pharmacies I called cannot even backorder the pregnyl now.
Well the HCG came in but in the months I was waiting my subscription expired. The doc won’t write me a new one until I have blood work done so probably another 2 weeks to wait. Hope the pharmacy will hold it for me! Very frustrating day.
ridiculous
I couldn’t see my regular doctor so made an appointment with the “new” doctor. I just wanted to get my Hematocrit checked because I was having symptoms and also tell them some blood tests I wanted to get. She freaked out when she saw I was on Test,. HCG and anastrozole. Actually I have only been taking the Test for the last 3 months because I couldn’t get the HCG. I’ve been on TRT for almost 5 years. So anyway she freaks, says this has to be monitored closely and she wants me to see an endo. Leaves and comes back to tell me about not writing a script for the HCG. So that’s what was frustrating. Hopefully it will work out. I have an appointment with my regular doctor in 2 weeks. He’s been pretty good about everything but I’m a bit worried now.
Try using a local compounding pharmacy.

That’s just what I did thanks.
Another easy way to get it is call your local fertility clinic and ask them what pharmacy they work with. They’ll have it.
