So, i’m starting to think that HCG might not be helpful for a lot of people on cycle…
obviously when you add exogenous testosterone, the negative feedback response, is to decrease LH in order to decrease testosterone levels. and the theory with HCG, is that by taking it during the cycle, the body remains sensitive to it’s action, because the body keeps producing testosterone when it normally would shut it off…
however, if you have more test AND LH than you need, what is likely to happen? well, with test, we have an increase in estrogen conversion (which we use AI’s to counter) and SHBG increases (things like proviron can help here as well). however, with extra LH in the presence of testosterone, it would seem reasonable that your body will become LESS SENSITIVE to LH, because the normal feedback mechanisms aren’t working.
anyway, i’m gonna do some digging, and see if i can confirm or deny this theory…
From what I understand, is that the negative aspects you state are why we should use a small amount of HCG, and whether you’re on TRT or 2g of gear a week doesn’t change the amount of HCG used. The small amount is a replacement amount, so the testes are NOT desensitized to LH. A bigger dose would indeed desensitize them over time.
But please, do your research This is from posts I’ve read over time, but not true research.

yeah, this is my own half-ass theory, so i could be way off…
i get the basic theory of lower doses, but i’m starting to think that only using them for shorter duration will prevent desensitization to LH… when one thinks about it, there is no logical recourse for the body. if that wasn’t the case, then why would anyone ever come off AAS?
but yeah, i’m gonna keep doing some digging and see what i can find…
