hahah how is this even comparable? A semi-pretty to pretty woman in the U.S is the most privileged class in the history of civilization. hahaha you guys are too much
But what of ugly women in your utopia? How do they fit in? What did you observe in Latin America? Were they lovingly tended by strong, good men while they jogged and gardened and etc?
yes, the ole’ boys club is super privileged as well, but they usually require a decent amount of class status to get that privilege.
The bar is so low for a decent looking American woman all she really needs is
don’t be fat
don’t be a complete airhead
have a little bit of ambition
and the girl will be able to achieve whatever she wants in this country without struggle.
The bar for decent men in Latin America is pretty low, I will say but the women tend to be more well rounded, considerate, and appreciative. I’m totally willing to concede that it has to do with girl/guy ratio as well as opportunity. However, the women tend to still think more traditionally than here.
Yeah, of course it does. So you’re already one of the most, if not the most privileged class in the history of civilization but that’s not good enough, there should also be a cultural agenda to force feed women into “STEM” now, or coding… ummmm, why?
If a woman wants to be a coder she should be one, and she can be one. This idea that there aren’t women coders because it’s dominated by men is fucking absurd and having ‘quotas’ to meet to stick women into that field is also absurd. This Is why you get such a backlash.
If you’re going into a field that is dominated by a gender it’s going to be tough either way. I have a friend that went to be a PA (physician assistant) his class was all females, it was him and another guy. He had to deal with drama, infighting, cattiness, all that typical crap you deal with when it comes down to all female groups…
if a woman jumps into all male groups she’ll deal with her own set of difficulties. We don’t need to manually adjust culture, and force quotas.
Have you noticed that everyone here thinks you’re wrong? You are the only backlash happening, and considering your inability to stop telling outright lies about things you wrote that we can all scroll up and see, it’s a weak backlash.
And the girl can go into any field and have unsuccessful, jealous children sneer at them, call them fat, and tell them that if they don’t stop working, they’ll be destroyed by 35. No struggle there.
So in other words, Latin American women are grateful for the crumbs men throw to them, rather than ‘uppity’ like U.S. Women?
The big difference is that, like you’ve already observed in this very thread, most female-dominated fields are lower-paying and lower-prestige, and the men who go into those fields are less respected than the ones that go into higher-paying/prestige professions. Also, creating opportunities for women /= forcing them into a field.
As a side note, these female-dominated fields, like teaching and nursing, are every bit as physically and mentally taxing as the STEM and corporate fields you’re railing about as destroying women by the time they’re in their 30’s. And those are 2 of the better female-dominated fields. This doesn’t even come close to the atrocity that is the service industry.
I taught my one niece to weld then introduced her to the hiring manager at a big fabrication shop I worked at.
She caught a little bit of flack on the floor for being a girl, but she responded to it by completely owning the fat, stupid, pouty lipped sissies that gave her the flack.
A couple of my other nieces have crushed the science curriculums at VT, and one now has her masters in biotech engineering getting paid for by her employer.
So your thoughts on women in stem are pretty much fucked.
You are probably very well suited for a woman that passes her time being pretty and playing with flowers, because the real ones would eat you alive.
Bro, we’re talking about the AVERAGE American women. What don’t you get??? If they’re successful they must not be average. That seems to be the implication anyway.
I appreciate the sentiment, but credit where credit is due- I was very fortunate to work with some amazing people too, and to honor the work and its purpose.
Thank you though.
Jokingly: Man! The stuff you have to do to lay down a couple of beads! It’s almost not worth it!
Those women, their pursuit of higher learning, and outstanding academic achievements aren’t the product of quotas or anybody “giving them a chance”. It’s the product of effort, and the organizations that employ them are lucky to have them.
Interesting that you bring up coding too, with the recent news of incel trolls attacking the woman that wrote some essential code for the EHT, capturing the historical first images of a black hole.
You should go back to being blunt. You’re to dumb to attempt subtle.
I know it’s surprising at 6’4”, but catching is one of my favorite. I still can throw down to 2nd in 2 seconds. College moved me to first base, because guys were smaller and quicker behind the plate.
