Has Yahoo Lost its Damn Mind?

Yeah. Eat cheese, drink milk and coffee, and lost weight. Oh, and pork chops. For sure.

I think this thread has already been made similarly, but I think it deserves another bashing.

Did you even read the reasoning behind why they listed the foods? I think they are pretty valid.

Again I said this many times it’s all about MODERATION. The reason people get fat is they are consuming more calories then they burn off. If you moderate that food that are “bad” often turn into good choices.

WTF is wrong with pork chops?

This isn’t terribly inaccurate. It’s much worse when you have people justifying that beer is good for you because it contains barley, and chocolate is good for you because it contains flavonoids.

I can understand some of them being ‘healthier’ foods, but the title being ‘weight loss foods’ kind of kills it. Just because cheese has casein doesn’t mean it helps you lose weight, it just means it is a healthy…ish… food.

I agree with moderation, though.

Yeah, beer and chocolate probably won’t make anyone lose weight either. lol

Agreed on the cheese, but consider people who have absolutely no concept of nutrition. If everyone in the country read that article and took it somewhat seriously, the results would be astounding.

They aren’t bacon.

Why is it that everything in that article is wrong, but the exact same concept and/or recomendation can also be found on this site, more than likely recommended by either John Berardi or Lonnie Lowery?

Have they lost their damn minds too, or have you simply never read anything that they have written?

Having pork roast for dinner tomorrow night. Can’t wait. Great meat to rotate in between chicken and steak.

Really, the only choice I thought was a little odd was the ice coffee. Considering how some places make theirs, I’d go with black coffee with artificial sweetener (or add a chocolate protein powder for a protein mocha).

Ive seen so much worse, this is more of an eye roller than ffs!

The article does make sense. I think it’s better than 99% of the advice given to the general public.

Do you think pork chops are bad weight loss food? If you cut the fat off them they’re a relatively lean meat. Iced coffee with sweet and low and skim milk is very low in calories and does help keep off hunger. Cheese is low in carbs and high in protein. Skim milk is a great drink for weight loss.

The only one I would have an issue with is beans because of the carbs and they’re not even that horrible compared to other choices. So I can’t figure out for the life of me why you think this article is so terrible.

Have you ever heard of a low carb diet?

Dunkin Donuts medium iced coffee with skim milk and sweet and low or splenda is low in calories. That’s what comes to mind when I hear iced coffee.

actually, this is the best internet food list I think I have ever seen (minus stuff on a few of the real lifting sites like here)…

Nothing on that would I not consider eating while on a diet…

I personally stick to black coffee though…

Beans are bad ass source of protein and carbs (much better imho then rice at oats)…

Cheese and bacon - make everything worth eating

Pork chops are yummy…

I really dont see what the problem with this list is???
