Has Anyone Gotten Rid of Polycythemia?

If you were able to get rid of the constant rising hematocrit/hemoglobin, what changes did you make?

I was on 70 2x week cypionate with quarter anastrozole and now I’m doing 100/1x a week quarter anastrozole since twice a week obviously didn’t slow it down. Quit vaping nicotine a month ago. I donate every 2-3 months but it keeps going up faster and also getting higher blood pressure. Been having numbness in feet/arms I think from thick blood.

I was also wondering if subq with more frequent doses has helped anyone lower it?

I get therapeutic phlebotomies every 2 months, it’s the price I have to pay to keep my levels high enough to benefit fully from TRT.

Ive been doing mine about every two months but some of the symptoms have been getting worse even sooner each time like my BP and I suspect the numb/tingling sensations from lack of blood flow/thick blood. I’m also considering trying to get of T if I can’t get it under control which I’m not sure the best way of doing since I don’t have access to HCG.

You’re going through withdrawal. If all else fails, lower the dosage.

Where does 70mg twice weekly put your Total T and Free T?

I believe my total T was around 700-800 range but I don’t think he’s tested my free recently, when I was on 200 once a week it was around 1400 total

My hematocrit was highest it’s ever been two days ago. 59.2. Even though I drank a lot of water and was pissing clear, other signs point to dehydration. Albumin and BUN were high. Ferritin was at 30. My hemoglobin and RBC were highest they have been as well. Platelets were normal (barely) for second time in years, they have been low for over 5 years and were borderline low before that.

This is 7 weeks after donating blood. Two weeks after donating blood my AM HCT was still like 53.8. My ferritin crashed to 27.

I did have high hematocrit before TRT, but not this high. Last year when HCT came back high, I did another CBC a week or so later but in afternoon and it are only barely high, 52 I believe, and my RBC and hemo went back to normal, platelets went back low but only slightly. Not sure why I can’t hydrate in the AM, probably the lack of sodium from being fasted.

I switched to pellets and have not experienced polycythemia since.

According to this study, it can take up to 50 months for polycythemia to develop on pellets, and I’ve only been on for a few months.

Still, 4 years and then a 50/50 chance is better than the almost immediate polycythemia I experienced with injections.

Doesn’t cream cause less issues with polycythemia?
