G is right, what does a GPA have to do with anything??? Especially if it’s in something not related at all to the cops & a parking space. btw in math all the memorisation is done with by the end of 2nd year, so you can’t get by on that alone after that.
wow, michelle! you can even tell what i am feeling when i post! that is friggin amazing! when did i ever throw a fit? but since you are no longer posting, i guess you wont answer. and you again read incorrectly. never once did i say every cop i have encountered is a jerk. YOU misread my post. learn how to read what is written. sheesh.
Let’s get ready to Rummmmmbllllllee! Tonight. 8:00. My barn. Vice, Herc, Demo, Michelle and I will take on all cop haters. Mrs. Roids will hold all firearms (and shoot the first bad guy who mars my purty face.) Entertainment afterward to be provided by none other than …Ms. Bionic, bar dancer extraordinaire. Free shots of Winny and Equipoise for wussies courtesy of my horses (using their needles of course.) Special appearance by the Roids’ own Mighty Bo, the four legged master of the neighborhood who will take on the overrated CockMongrel in a special grudge match in the steel stall. BYO MRP’s. Be there!
Irony-that if there were no cops (i.e total anarchy) those who hate them would be the first to get shitted on. The FIRST.
And its all about attitude. You fail the attitude test, I’m going to make your life a little harder.
Lastly, don’t try and interpret the law. “I know my rights!”. No, you don’t. The more legislative power police have, the easier it is to catch crooks, the safer life is for everyone. Sometimes innocent people get fucked around, but in the big picture that is irrelevant.
Uhh, I’m still sort of recovering from the bizarre suggestion that michelle is a lesbian. Even though I feel there’s nothing wrong with homosexuality, that would just be such a waste of a perfect T-goddess! Lesbian! Please no! I’ve been trying to work up the nerve to ask michelle out for coffee for about 2 years!
Well this sure has created some very heated discussion. Let’s all take a deep breath and R-E-L-A-X!!!
Okay, yes I have family members working in several areas of law enforcement. Are they “assholes” or “jerks”? Some are, some aren’t. Have I ever been pulled over and or arrested. Yes and yes. Was I in the wrong both times, yes and yes. Okay my American patriotism runs pretty deep, but why is it when ever most Americans get in trouble, and were obviously in the wrong, they want to find a way to get out of it…which usally involves a “lawyer”??? (Let’s not even go there…and yes have some of those in the family too) I have been pulled over for the usual traffic violations and have had what I would consider very very rude pricks, and some very decent officers. Do I act different in either case…no, I try not to, because no matter how right or wrong I think I am…guess what folks, the law man will have the upper hand, so get over it people. After all it is your word against thiers. But some of this is changing with video cameras in squad cars etc. I did spend a night in jail once…that was enough and it had to do with me parking in a tow away zone and getting smart with a cop. Was I right with what I said to the cop that night. You bet your ass I was. Did I get thrown in jail, you bet your ass I did. Looking back at the experience and if I had been the cop, would I have changed anything, heck no. You see I did park in a tow away zone in a bar area of a college town. Thankfully I got there real late and had not had to much to drink. When I came out my truck had been towed and I asked the cop, as they always have a few around at closing, where they took it. To make a long story short…he did not have time for my silly questions at the moment and when I called him something pretty disgusting under my breath , but loud enough for him to hear, well he had me spun around and cuffed so fast it made my head spin. To this day, I still find it hard to believe how fast he did that. Okay could he have answered my questions. Yes. I could have gone and got my truck that night and that would have been the end of it. But looking back, I was so mad at myself because it screwed up my night and next day when I had to come back and find where my truck had been towed. Well now due to that expericence I really check out parking spots, I mean I should have known that there was something up when I get there at around 12:30 pm and there is a parking spot right out front in the busiest part of town. Dah…what was I thinking.
Are there good cop? Yes! Bad cops? Yes! Dishonest cops? Yes! Very honest and trustworthy cops? Yes! I think we have established a pattern here. I have always wondered about the attitude with cops…but then got looking where I work. Guess what I found…it’s the same at work, it’s just that cops get to meet more of you, than my co-workers do. Yes here where I work we have some very dependable employees and some real worthless pieces of crap. Can we get rid of them…sometimes it hard to, due to laws etc etc etc. The cops can arrest some dirt bag that them and everyone around knows with out a doubt is guilty, but then they get off due to some lawyer and or some little loop hole. Yes it can be a very thankless job. Look at some of the people in your office, who you know have a lot of potential…but have never made it up the ladder due to a number of reasons; to certain people or boss doesn’t much care for him…or the boss is trying to get his “buddy” up the ladder first. Come on, we all know this happens and many times, not much anyone can do about it with out tearing lives and carreers apart. And what about that guy or gal who shows up every day, spends more time getting out of work than doing any and they get a raise just like you every year and yet really never do nothing. Now lets look at the police department…are we seeing any simularities. I’m sure we are. In other words lets face it its not a perfect world…that’s why I’m here. (ha ha) Sometimes I think we have to stop taking ourselves so seriously, and learn to laugh at ourselves. And remember the cops have to answer to people above them too. So they come to your party, which for the first part was proably too loud, may have involved underage drinking, and or illegal drugs, and yet we think we are better than them by not answering a few questions. Ask a cop about the paper work he does for one shift and you will be amazed…and his boss looks at it. (Okay the boss looks at a report that says they broke up a party…but now he wants to know who lives there. Been there done that…when the cop shows up, no one knows who lives there all of a sudden. Yes sometimes I didn’t know…but 99% of the time I did) Would I want there job…FUCK NO. And for the person who wrote in this thread about not wasting bullets and taking some out before committing suicide??? What the fuck is up with that??? That could be some of my family, whom some of I am very very close to. (now let’s say my father beats me, so screw it; when I leave I going to take out a bunch of fathers…your thinking is pretty damn lame, and personally I think you need serious help with that kind of thought process) As far as complaining to the cop department when you do run into one of these “bad” cops. Well I can understand why it does no good to complain to them. Do you know how much training goes into a rookie on the force? I would assume lots. And besides I am sure his boss is going to overlook what he sees as minor infractions so he does not have to hire yet another new person and train them. Sure cops take some liberties with the law…but don’t we all, as like doing 9 miles over the speed limit, because you know cops start stoping you at ten miles over. (and still when we get stopped some how people reall y believe the cop is wrong) And what about politicians…my blood pressure and heart rate sore just sawing that word. But on the other hand…I personally know some very hard working politicians that are working for the good of the USA. So the next time your harrassed by a bad cop…just go home and write a book about it…someday you may get on a day time talkie, and makes lots of money and THEN YOU CAN THANK THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
Sorry you felt picked on by One Time, but what happened to you really ain’t shit. If the police really wanted to fuck with you they would have done a lot more than that, all of it legal too.
You have got to be a moron if you think it is right that you should be put in jail for saying something rude as long as it is not threatening. That sounds right to you?? You must live in China or some other oppresive regime to think that its ok to be put in jail for saying things other people don’t like. Have some pride, geez.
Michelle has sworn herself off of this thread, so I’ll have to respond for her. She doesn’t drink coffee, but she says “Thanks for the offer.” ![]()
Ouch…on a forum?
Pat, I read your response and assumed it was directed at me. If not, I apologize for the following. You said, “Have some Pride”. Well I thought about that for a while. I guess if it was any other situation, I would have not stood for not having my question(s) answered. I will not repeat what I said to the cop that night but is wasn’t nice, or pleasant, and yes could be deemed threatening. Was I pissed, oh you bet I was, spitting mad. If not for the cuffs he slapped on me, I probably would have taken a jab at him. I used to have a very explosive and violent temper, which has taken years to control. My father one-day had a long talk with me, after a different experience. He told me that some things we have control over, some we don’t. Always been like that and always will be. He also explained that if I did not learn to control my temper I would end up in jail, or dead. I had to do a few more stupid things and a few times thought long and hard about what he said. Finally I realized what he said true, and made sense. From that I have learned that, first you have to pick your battles, pick wisely, and then do nothing less than win! Thankfully my buddy at the scene that night kept telling me to “Keep your big mouth shut, or I would just be in bigger trouble”. Looking back, he was so right. So what did the night in jail do for me? Nothing much really, except now I have a “record”. ha ha. I did get a lawyer, and the lawyer told me, it won’t keep me out of Yale, or Harvard, and he had several other antidotes about how silly it was. He was saying that if I pleaded guilty to the charge(s), nothing would really ever come of it, except now every one can find out that one night I was a bad boy. Like he told me, we could fight it, but it is my word against his, and he said they could drum up all sorts of silly charges in these situations. Here I decided I was wrong had had him enter a plea of guilty and pay the fine. So in answer to your post “Have some Pride”, I guess all I can say is, I have matured enough to know what is worth fighting against and what is not. Me being a royal prick, and pain in the ass, to an uniformed officer, is not worth my time or effort, in the big scheme of things. And lastly let me tell you I think I understand what you were meaning to say in your post, and for that I do not disagree, but hopefully this will shed some more light on what I did, and did not do. So remember, pick your battles carefully, and then be a PROUD WINNER! No hard feelings here.
