A link to the full article on Manifest Destiny. Most people only read the beginning and the end. The middle contains a lot about creativity and not copying european literature.
It is obviously an important document in American history and explains a lot about american culture/identity(the belief in a destiny). And its really not so scary as 9th grade history teaches make it out to be
