Beat me to it.

On the serious tip: The fact that pot is illegal, and alcohol and cigarettes are legal (and “sin taxed” by more than 50%) is the biggest bunch of bullshit out there.

I recetly joined a brand new social movement called A L R M.

Americans for
Legalization and
Regulation of
Marijuana

I don’t want to violate my T-Nation terms of service, but look it up on facebook: ALRM washington dc and become a fan. alrm.org will be up as soon as my graphics guy gets through designing it.

If things work out, I will be incorporating them into a 501(c)3 shortly and sitting on their board of directors. The mission is simple and implied in the groups name: Legalization and Regulation (i.e. taxing it and generating revenue).

The benefits range from increased revenue for our deficit to cutting down on border violence to saving money and lives by not putting people in prison for something that a significant portion of the population has done - including presidents and governors… Also, the fact that it’s JUST PLAIN STUPID to have alcohol and cigarettes legal and “sin taxed” and NOT marijuana! It’s the height of hypocrisy, I tell you! LOL

It’s time to sound the ALRM

I agree with this 100%. This, a flat income tax with no deductions, a national sales tax on all non-essential goods, free trade and strong military used sparingly are the key tenets to the political party I would like to start or be a part of.

I feel like celebrating it… Woo hoo! If you elect me as president, you’ll get the day off…

How is me starting a thread in GAL compare in any way to the appropriateness of the movie title Kick Ass? You must be the highest person here!

I’d give it more of a 80 to 20 ratio. But thats still quite an accomplishment for Ireland to be even spoked in the same sentence as California. Thats almost as impressive as you being on the same list as Chuck Norris. Things have really begun to turn around for you these last couple of days.
