Maybe I should take some Rhodiola during the week to make sure I’m chilled ![]()
Just stay calm, collect some shit on him, and when the day comes bust a cap in that ass and get big time promotion.
Listen buttercup, you seem like a complete dip shit so this advice comes reluctantly. If you do not have the balls to figure this out without going onto the internet you don’t have enough balls to screw this guy over (wife, job, pension, etc). So, I recommend reading some books on how to take revenge and tearing a new one in assholes in the corporate world.
As well, if some dip shit coward (you) that worked under me, disrespected me, and acted like a little pussy because I told her to shut up because I’m the fucking boss, and if we weren’t in a fucking office with other people I would toss her slow ignorant ass out the window. And on top of that I found out she posted on a fucking site complaining about me because she is a dipshit her ass would be gone and that night I’d have MFM with HolyMac and your girlfriend because obviously you are too much of a limp dick to stand up for yourself and she probably just lays there like a fish.
Dangit, I thought this thread would be about working in adult film. Way to mislead with the thread title.

Any suggestions on books of this nature.
I usually ignore my coworkers when they piss me off. This doesn’t take much, so I end up ignoring people most of the day. I do this to my boss too, and I know he doesn’t like it, but he doesn’t really say anything about it and he hasn’t fired me yet and I’ve been getting top notch raises so I think I’m in the clear.
If I’m working with them closely I’ll make some small talk when I’m bored and try to focus on the brighter aspects of their identities and stuff they are interested in just to be conscientious and a listener, but it never fails that someone mentions Starbucks or network TV and I lose faith and ignore them for the rest of the week.
But if someone ever told me to shut up, unpleasant words would be exchanged. I don’t think it would ever turn into physical violence though.

Spoken like a true professional. This man has stuck it in the corporate pooper, and then MMF’d it’s wife. Only Push could have said or done it better.

I am not one for revenge (I do not endorse it), because I have thick skin and usually take things as a joke. I have always just dish it back were it stings, but not where the person thinks I am trying to be malicious. I however could see when people would want to take revenge, and I could possibly understand it.
If I were to take revenge I would take the stuff I learned from life, like hunting for example. Make a plan first, this will have to be individual plan. Just be very observant, and take meticulous steps to trap them, and as well be patient.
I have never been physical with anyone I worked for except when I worked with a concrete crew in Western Kansas, but that was more fun (king of the hill) that it was trying to hurt anyone.
And if I were to take revenge it would be like this example, I worked as the utility employee at a big pet store chain, I basically filled in wherever was needed. The boss of the store was a limp wrist girly man, lied about how much he was paid, his degrees, and treated everyone like shit.
Well, to be a store manager you have to certified as a fork lift operator, and if you are not certified you have to become certified a week after occupying the position of store manager. Plus, with safety regulations you cannot operate the fork lift on the store floor without a operators certificate and if they catch you it’s a small fine for the employee and a big fine for the store; especially if it’s a store manager (read up on Home Depot’s deadly accidents with fork lifts). They also like to tack on other fines if you do not have stuff like two spotters and if there is no blockades for aisles on either side of the forklift.
In a hypothetical situation of taking revenge (I saw all this, but looking back this is what I would have done). I would record a video of the guy not only working a month after becoming a store manager without a certificate (I would have looked into the certificate database) to use a forklift on the store floor, but he was using his phone (not a headset, but one hand on the wheel one hand on his phone). So looking at everything, a big chunk of money the manager and the store is going to end up paying if the regulators come into check for the random safety inspections.
I would then hypothetically take it to the head boss and show him the pictures and video. The guy is fired, I get a promotion and a raise for saving the company serious money.
The idea though, is the guy treated me like shit the most out of everyone, but I would just stayed calm, do my job, lay low and waited until the opportunity arose, and gave it to him.
Edit: On the books, I am not sure, I stumbled on a decent chapter in one of Donald Trump’s Think BIG and Kick Ass in Business and Life. I haven’t read much on revenge, but I would guess there would be plenty of examples in biography’s of business men dealing with other businesses and such if you can find them.
Also, watch The Office even though the melodrama is not very exciting, some of the stuff that is pulled in there would be hilarious as just pranks.
Pick the little guy up, turn him around, then set him down very gently on his feet.
There are different ways to react, but usually you should not beat him up.
I work as a bouncer so I have many collegues who are idiots, brawlers, useless pieces of crap.
Things can get rough sometimes. If you are too friendly, your behaviour is misinterpreted as weakness.
Nevertheless, direct threats of physical violence towards personel can be a problem.
Accordingly you should resort to verbal solutions.
“Who do you think your talking to?”
“You can talk to your mother or anyone else you don´t respect this way.”
“Say that again.” take a step towards him (never walk backwards in a confrontation or you come off as weak) and look angry shout “say that again.” If he asks “then what” tell “then I´m gonna show you what.”
Depending on the situation you can go as far as to tell “If you ever piss me off, you´re going to see me outside of work.” A cold smile helps a lot with intimidation.
Don´t start a physical fight. Perhaps you can make him start it. Then you should end it.
Well, you might have to just deal with it. They are everywhere!
You have to figure out, hey if I take this guy out or intimidate him will I still have a job? then you have to decide is it worth it. Sometimes it is, sometimes not.
I had a bad boss with a bad one in between and eventually ended up with the top bosses job in one promotion after being patient, yes both were “challenging” but I could have been unemployed instead. Life takes work, in-“DUH”-viduals are everywhere.

That would get him fired, in about 12 seconds lol.

This would result in both being fired, and most likely arrested. lol

You fucking suck at your job, and he can’t fire you, nor will his boss listen to his pleas to fire you. Hope it’s not this one.

You suck at your job, and he knows you could be better, but hasn’t figured out how to manage you. His frustration is getting to him.
-
He has been getting his balls busted all morning by his boss, and guess what, shit rolls downhill. You and your co-workers are probably to blame for the ass raping he received this morning, and he took the heat for you guys. So take his shit and work harder.
[/quote]
99.9% of the time, it’s one of these. You should be better at doing your job. Chances are, if you stop sucking, he will leave you alone. Even if he doesn’t, ceasing to suck at your job will help you get promoted out.
i agree. even at groceries stores, this applies. doesnt matter what kind of person you are, you dont do your shit you piss people off
Ostracize him. Don’t talk to him at all unless you need something from him. If he asks you something, just give a one word answer. It works for me at work.
Ok well since I’ve had bigger conflicts at work than this guy, I’m not going to try and destroy him or anything. It’s weird because for a while we were starting to really get along. I think I will just ostracize him. He seems to be psychologically fragile anyway.
Thanks for all the advice.

Not if he´s a bouncer.
If if he´s not, after loosing that job, he could still be one.
I think asking him who he thinks he´s talking to and telling him that he can only talk to people he doesn´t respect that way is a solution in an ordinary job as well.
By telling him he does not respect his mother, you´re indicating that he knows who it is (look at the bright side).
You realise that he´s been told to shut up.
The opponent crossed a line there.
I think that´s unprofessional and unacceptable.
A harsh reaction would be justified.

He’s not a bouncer. And in the real world, just because your boss is unprofessional, doesn’t give you the right to be without being fired.
It isn’t an opponent. It is his boss.
Dude, you just don’t get it, nevermind.
It´s not his boss.
Besides I could not just ignore it and spinelessly ostracize him.
I don´t think he´d loose the job if he’d fight for his personal rights.
How you do it depends on the conditions but it should be done.
If I was expected to accept such behaviour at work, I´d rather search for a different employer.
Those kind of people need to be shown that they can´t treat someone respectable that way.
If they can treat you that way, well maybe you are not respectable.

This isn’t a hollywood movie, and if one of my staff EVER talked to me the way you are saying to, they would e fired
And it is spelled LOSE not loose
