Gym Life After 40

Of course, I should have stated a goal.

At this point my goal is to continue to look and FEEL as awesome as possible with the thought of maybe stepping back onstage in a Masters division if the bug bites me again and I can tolerate the prep. Brute strength just no longer gets my juices going. Almost anytime I see someone move some serious iron around, I just cringe imagining how badly I would feel if I attempted such things again. I use other intensity techniques (drops sets, clusters, run the rack etc) to keep pushing myself without having to sling super heavy iron around.

Oh and being healthy also is an overall goal, both clinically and orthopedic wise.

Thanks again.

Just picked up Super Soldier and it looks like a great fit for me. Thanks Paul.

Well if you can do those type of intensity/set extended techniques on a full body multiple times a week split, and still recover, AND enjoy that, then yes you’d be on the right track.

Have you seen CTs ā€œbest damn workout for natural liftersā€?

It sounds right in line with what you need now

Let me check that out, thanks.
