WTF!

Can anyone point me in a good direction, I’m lost, lmao.

I want something for a bench shooter bolt action, mainly between 50-200 yards max. (By the time I’m looking to bust this fucker out to 600 I’ll know what I’m doing.)

Is a 1-6x enough, or should I go with 3-9x? Not looking to break the bank here either, some shit burger that holds zero is fine, I don’t need fancy gizmos, super awesome taticool redicals or 3,000,000x magnification.

Was looking at the 1-4x & 1-6x because as I graduate I can put those on the AR and use the 1x as a “red dot” type site.
Very good rifle scope. I strictly use a 3-9x for all applications, except rimfire where I use a 1-4x cheap scope (buy cheap for most rimfire because they have a parallax adjustment not common in higher scopes).

What are you using for rimfire?
Went home and checked, I was wrong, they are both 3-9X’s. One is a Simmons and the other is a Tasco. Dad has a Bushnell that were all less than $60. All are at least 10 years old and perform incredibly well.

It took awhile but I managed to get my action cam up and running.

Straight forward stage at a local practice match. Unloaded start square with wall, then shoot them as you see them.

.

Nice shooting man! that looks like a blast. Im headed out tomorrow to pick up and M&p 9 or G17 so I can get into that. Can’t really tell what your using there… G34?

Anyway looked smooth man.

It is! Getting started can be a bit frustrating, but you’re already a good shooter so you should get the hang of it real quick. After that, you’ll end up an addict.

Yes, that’s a 34.

It may have looked smooth but I ended up shooting the left most no shoot twice on the last array twice. Not good.

Damn, I have so much work to do. Your mag changes and speed at which you acquire your sight picture…

Good shooting man.

Thanks. I think we all have a lot of work to do, if you can even call it work. One season of shooting matches is a great way to learn.

I’ve been looking at some handgun tests lately…

Todd Green F.A.S.T:
2 to 3x5 index card to slide lock reload then 4 to 8" chest circle in 5 seconds

Dave Spaulding 2x2x2:
2 to 3x5 index card in 2 seconds

…Both shot from 7 yards in carry gear from concealment.

Bill Rogers also has a shooting school in GA. For the Rogers classes, I believe every round fired is timed and scored from day one. He has a plate setup where the plates pop up then pop down on a programmed timer. Elite level performers I believe can earn a “red pin” which indicates an uncommon level of ability for his courses of fire. This is one I really want to do some day.

I’ve taken a few handgun courses but none really stressed competency or gave a hard performance test at the end. One we timed out on, but there was no performance standard set. I’m liking these if just for the stress, one attempt only, after shooting for 2/3 days straight and being about as tuned into your gun as your going to get.

In case you want to get yourself a little Xmas gift.

Kind of a random purchase, but a federal cop friend told me that the new thing for Mexican hit man was the old thing that the NYC mob used to do — a .22lr pistol with a suppressor.

Well, I have no intent to be a hit man or really any need for this except it is really cool, but I stumbled across a Browning .22LR pistol with a pre-threaded barrel for suppressors. Nice long barrel, great (albeit ugly) trigger. Supposed to be a target pistol.

Last night, being an idiot, I emptied 11 rounds of subsonic tungsten ammo into the door frame of the office shop and people 10 feet away didn’t notice. Went through two pine 2X4s and well into a third. All you can hear is the “click” of the very small receiver moving.

About as loud as the highest clicking sound on an iPhone.

Assembled.

I can’t wait to move to a free state so I can get a can…

The bulky ear protection is annoying, and the ear plugs just aren’t’ enough. (And wig me out, lol)

I’ve enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I ordered a suppressor for a .45 (which is not my favorite round) because .45 is subsonic already.

In picking suppressors, I think the “must haves” are .22LR, .308, and .45.

I have a 5.56 suppressor, but the subsonic rounds in .223 just suck, while .308 will still kill a large animal (e.g., like the elk that are all over my property).

Made my first holster… With a brand new gen 4 glock 17

That came out good. I’m a big fan of those RCS struts and belt loop.

The other one I just got to play around with is the Comptac C-Clip. I had to file it just a little bit but it matches almost exactly to the RCS spacing which is what I used to have on this one.

I’ve been told the C-clip is more secure if you ever have someone try to rip your holster off. I haven’t worn it yet so I haven’t determined if I like it better.

That’s nice dude. Where did you get your materials from?

I didn’t do that. It’s one of the phlsters. I just put the C-clip on it.

Just a little humor for a rainy (here) Monday
