Spaulding CAP sights? How’s the rear one work in the dark?

Ameriglo caps. The rear glows surprisingly well at night. The front has the same glowy paint and tritium in the circle. During the day the yellow really stands out too. Around $70 on Amazon

Maiden, how are those Ameriglo caps overall? Do You think they are better than Truglo T.F.O’s?

Nice work on that

I haven’t shot the tfo’s but I have shot the truglo bright sights with just the fiber optic. I think the TFOs are probably brighter. The paint in the cap sights need to be charged for it to be really bright. Depends on whether you like 3 dot sights. I prefer a blacked out rear or something like the caps or XS sights with the single line in the rear so the caps are better for me. Cheaper too.

You’re going to fucking love this gun. If it’s sighted in well it’s a can’t miss gun. It will make you look like a better shot than you are.
I’m not making a slight on your shooting, just sharing my experience. I am a pretty average shot, but the SR1911 makes me look like a much better shot than I am.

Yes, it’s the CMD. I love this pistol, with all my heart. I’m pretty pissed as the hammer is already starting to rust…

But you are understating the accuracy of this firearm, lol. I’m not offended at all, and I’m a much better shot with it than my G17. I still have my same mechanical issues, but this pistol is dead balls accurate.

Just loaded up a 100 rounds last night for Friday (hopefully.)
How is the hammer already rusting? Mine looks like the day I bought it.

Because yankee’s have to go to special gun cleaning stations where gun owners are implanted with RFid tags that emit low doses of estrogen. Each gun cleaning trip only costs 25000$. Stay strong beans!

lmao.

I have no idea, but it has rust spots. I don’t really care. It doesn’t effect the function of the pistol and it’s just an excuse to buy something from Wilson Combat later lol.

My groups with 7.7 grains of HS-6 over cheapo bulk hornady 230 grain projectiles are significantly better than factory loads, and a bit lighter recoil. Dirty as hell, like all my reloads, but much more pleasant to shoot and only about 24-27 cents a round compared to 40-60 cents a round for factory ammo.

Fondled a VP9 at the gun shop. It was really, really hard not to just hand him my Discover Card lol… It’s the worst when you know you can just buy the pistol you want at any moment and maintaining spending control lol. The think makes love to my hand when I hold it.

Call Ruger, they’ll fix it free of charge. They have some of the best customer service I have ever run across.

Yeah… I’ll wait until the pitting under the grips I hear about happens and have both fixed at once. I dont’ want to not have my pistol for a week or so.

Nice. Do you have a single stage or progressive loader?
Captnoblivious wrote:
I’m still very much pleased with a single stage at this point. I really only load my “match” .223 and 45ACP right now, and while the 45 would be much more productive on a progressive it isn’t worth the time or money to go buy a Dillon just yet.

I do load plinking .223 and 9mm too, but less often. I don’t really blast the AR as much as the bolt gun because I’m working on qualifying for the 200 yard range and then the 600 yard. So I pretty much have been working on load development. I think I found my range, and am now going to work on my fundamentals for a couple weeks then try and qualify for 200.

The 45 is just for fun and otherwise I practice with my .22’s.

I’ll get a progressive in a couple years I imagine, but my Rock Chucker is just fine right now. It’s a good hobby that lets me do “gun stuff” when everyone is in bed and I’d otherwise just be watch TV or reading.

I never had that issue either.

Just got one of these bad boys. Same size as the glock 19 and fits the same holsters as well. Just in .45 baby. I will have some updated pics soon.

Went to the gun store today at lunch to buy some shotgun ammo for a sporting clay shoot Sunday and walked out with this bad boy.

Threaded barrel for a suppressor. A .45 is my favorite pistol to use with a suppressor, since the round is already sub-sonic, but the bullet still packs a punch. Basically silent.

Goes nicely with my Thompson SMG (also .45).

^Very nice. 45 is awesome all around. Nice gun man, love the FDE too.

I picked up a Glock 19 yesterday too. Something must be in the air.
