Gun Control III

Aragon is right.

You never know who you are dealing with, and if you had to fight every time you mouthed off on someone, you would not be mouthing off as much.

Wow, I would not have expected the ultra liberal Ninth Court to rule this way.[/quote]

The Ninth Circus got one right it seems.

All jokes aside, this is a huge, and I mean huge ruling. I believe GOAL (MA Gun Rights Group) is drooling right now. MA is trying to pass some MORE restrictions, this will help.

I should call a lawyer in the morning lol.

I would keep an eye out for an appeal to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, but even that is tough for the court to take up, let alone appeal the decision.

Yes. “assault.” Implying select fire capability. Idiots.

*This post is for entertainment purposes only.

It looks like it may be time for Connecticut’s gun owners to get together and start shooting rulers.

*Again, this is for entertainment purposes only, and I would never encourage such action.

I would first be thankful I lived in the Northeast and not Elvisville.

Don’t count on it, MA is terrible when it comes to passing laws that make sense. GOAL is our only chance at not losing everything. Their recommendations show they have no idea what the actual current laws are.
We need some pro 2A elected officials. There are some with a D next to their name that are on our side believe it or not. Hopefully Charlie Baker will get better results this time around.
GOAL needs to work on getting rid of the utterly arbitrary and useless AG regulations on firearms. I’m tired of guns being “approved” in MA for sale and still not being able to buy them.

I’ll be honest, I only have to deal with this bullshit for another 3 years and then I’m moving a mile down the road to NH.

My personal issue is the unrealistic and arbitrary power given to local chiefs. They can deny you for any reason and the AG will back them up. There is zero consistency.

The other part of that is, if this particular case goes up to the feds, and SCOTUS holds this up, MA will have no choice but to comply, after spending a couple years in court fighting it, lol.

pro-registration huh?

I literally can’t think of any other crime where the law abiding citizens are punished for the actions of criminals. Way to support that.

Law-abiding citizens are not being punished by registration laws. A FORMERLY law-abiding citizen who fails to follow this law WILL be punished. The state has realized that it has so many law-abiding citizens that all it needs to do is continue expanding its laws and the people will approve of their own imprisonment. Register guns(law-abiding? check.), turn in guns(law-abiding? check.), follow your leader to camp…err…work(law-abiding? check.), etc.

You have to carry insurance, or get an exemption from the state, to drive on the roads. There’s another example of law-abiding citizens being punished for the actions of others.

-Being present while two dogs fight each other is a federal crime.

Until people stop caring about being law-abiding, this crap will continue. Follow the Leader and Simon Says are games we should stop playing once we grow up.

When gun registration doesn’t work, what’s next ? What will be the following liberty we forfeit, in the name of “protecting the children”, when the problem originates with behavior. You are punishing a law, instead of punishing a behavior.

Gun ownership will be next, like it always has been. Law-abiding citizens have to stop before it’s too late.

What a suprise, about time. Court overturns restrictions on concealed guns in much of California
“May Issue” ruled unconstitutional by the 9th curcuit in CA.

EDIT: I see I was late on that here haha. Good news out her for once though.

I made an assumption that your thankfulness was to live in a land of gun registration. If that is incorrect, apologies, but I’m not sure how you didn’t conclude that statement would be taken that way.

Well, when I included the word first it implied that I had at least a second answer to the question. As far as registration goes: people will do it because they obey the law regardless of how ineffectual it will be. Will it be a whole slippery slope matter? Probably. There are a lot of people who own guns in CT but we don’t have a gun “culture” so gun owners can’t be super vocal without appearing like weirdos. Hopefully it doesn’t get as bad as NJ.

So… You guys think there will be bloodshed in Connecticut?

Over this? No. It’s still easier to get a carry permit here than in Jersey.
