Since it’s a sexy looking weapon it gets love in movies lately; e.g., Mission Impossible III (in the bridge scene when Cruise gets it out of the trunk.)
The addition of the foregrip & the double mag (custom?) make it seem a little juiced up (probably a movie prop, or, ahem, home defense)

Sig Sauer 556 rifle is much more bad ass and nicer than the H&K G36 in my opinion. I have fired both and the Sig is much smoother during rapid firing, stays extremely accurate, and fits much nicer…
Haven’t shot the 556 yet. Is the trigger anything like the trigger on Sig pistols(“mushy” as hell)? Only thing ever turned me off about Sig’s was their shitty triggers.
the 556 is awesome, i dont own one personally but my cousin does and i have shot it with him a few times, and its awesome, i love it…you really think the triggers are that crappy?? everyone has there opinions and i respect yours, i own 2 sigs and i absolutely love both, zero complaints…i have fired a shitload of rounds through my Sig p250 and havent had a single problem with it…i know im getting off topic, but i love my Sigs!

Huge amount of creep in the trigger of my 220. Very annoying. Almost ruins an otherwise great gun, but the trigger might be the most important part after reliable functioning. They are very reliable and ergonomic though.
I also have a Sig mosquito which is very cool but the double action trigger requires you to be able to close a COC # 3 gripper first.
Perhaps I have been spoiled by the triggers of glocks and 1911’s…

hahaha DA triggers can be a bit tough especially if your use to a Glock trigger, those things are way to easy to pull! i love the Sig triggers, my p250 is DA and it took some getting use to but i fell in love with it after sometime…my p229 is DA on the first round, than SA for the rest, which i really love…i almost got the 220 in a .45, really really nice firearm…

Are you guys retarded? That’s obviously an AK-47.
I’m a journalist, so fuck you.
But that’s pretty funny.
Since you’re a journalist this might also come in handy for decrypting the confusing explanations about aircraft sightings from the military
If you want something similiar, but easier to find I suggest a Bushmaster ACR. The basic models are available now, and you can buy Lancer brand translucent mags for the complete tacticool look.

How much does one of these cost? I haven’t been to a gun show in ages.
G36s aren’t widely available for civilian sale, because HK thinks we suck, and they hate us. lol
The basic model of the ACR shown in my post goes for $2000-$2500.
There’s a civilian version of the G36 out there, but it’s semi-auto and really ugly
You can convert it though I think… Illegal over here if I’m not mistaken, but we all know you crazy Americans can do whatever the hell you want and then sue anyone who tells you different, so go for it I guess
Must be expensive in the U.S. though, so unless you have a hard-on for HK, I agree with Doug here…
It’s not like the G36 somehow out-performs every other 5.56 rifle, it just looks cooler
Materials used are interesting and the mags can be clipped together as shown in the OP, which is another nice feature…
Just one more 5.56 rifle line in a market over-saturated with the damn things… Albeit one of the better/best of those I’ve shot.

Haha, being caught with a rifle converted to full auto over here will earn you at least 10 years in federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison*. You can’t even talk about how to do it.
HK severely restricts rifle sales over here, stickly mostly to LE, Military, and Hollywood armorers. The only HK model that’s usually available to civilians is the SL8.
*Exceptions include models made before 1986, or with a lightning link or Registered Drop In Auto Sear (RDAIS). All 3 of which cost in excess of $10,000US plus a $200 tax with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, which for the record should be a convenience store not a government agency.

I’ve never owned one, but I consistently hear that Savage rifles are very good at a cheaper price compared to comparable models from other manufacturers.
