Groomsmen Gift Ideas

Let’s hear them. Don’t say a flask.

Budget is about 100 each with best man around 150. Was thinking of doing a few things. We are all in our late 20s.

So far I’m thinking of a cigar humidor, cufflinks for the event and maybe a nice Dopp kit. You guys got any better ideas?

Macallan 15 Fine Oak for the Groomsmen and Johnnie Walker Blue for your best man.

Cufflinks, cigar humidor, etc are rarely used and get thrown in a drawer or closet.

Good booze will bring lasting enjoyment.

You can end the thread lol.

Hand-embroidered condoms?

Copious amounts of hot single women on the invite list?

Wow. So not only do you change the subject but you also make it obvious that you need an environment with “copious amounts” of hot women to actually get with one. So you’d rather take anything material out of the equation and just play the game of odds? Granted, maybe you’re speaking from the perspective that more choice is better, to which there would still be a counter-argument; by definition “hot” means someone you’d be attracted to anyway so choice loses a lot of its value, unless you’re ‘picky’.

No wonder people say the social fabric of America is deteriorating. I thought part of being an American involved working hard, taking risks and being innovative. You’d rather get there quickly instead of doing work to attain something and make the journey just as satisfying as the result.

Anyway, OP, I like the Dopp bag idea. Cufflinks, shave sets (especially traditional ones) and a nice Cabernet Sauvignon are good ideas. Alternatively, get something related to their hobbies. For example, if one of the groomsmen likes to play guitar you could get him an annual subscription to Jamplay.com or something (obviously providing he isn’t already a member)

IMO, DON’T get a glass with initials or flasks…I’ve gotten a few of those of varring sizes…beer mugs really aren’t my thing.

Once I got a butterfly knife with my initials on it. I always thought that was cool and I keep it in my desk and use it (to open mail…lol).

I like the shaving kit idea… a straight razor might be cool.

I always thought a decent watch would be cool, but I’ve never really seen it done.

I agree with the guy who suggested personalizing it. This is especially true if you can somehow tie it to a shared event or hobby.

A nice hunting knife if hunters.

An airsoft gun

eh, my 2 cents

Well the best gift I have gotten out of all the times I was a groomsman was a really nice folding nice with my initials on it. I say it’s the best because I use it all the time.

Honestly, if I were to one day get married, I would get all my groomsman a personal gift based on what they like and their personality. That’s just me because most of the gifts I have gotten weren’t that great. One of the weddings I got a flask and it had mouthwash in it because I don’t drink. It was nice and all, but it has sat in my closet for over ten years.

As a cigar lover I actually think the humidor is a good idea. Is your pal a big fan of cigars? There are a lot of great cigar paraphernalia items you could go for as well. A really nice lighter, maybe even engraved or something.

Does he already have a pretty good grill? Could get him a grill, or if you were looking at something a little pricey a couple or three of you could go in on the grill together.

I’ll say this though, if you do go for anything with a custom engraving, just make it his name or initials or something. Don’t go for the wedding date or something with her name too. That way if they get divorced he doesn’t have to throw it away.

I’d love cigar related items. I nice cutter or butane lighter would be baller. Even some rare cigars would be nice.

90 minute massage gift certificate

I think watches were previously mentioned. Could be good.

Maybe share some hobbies or interest of these guys.

$100-$150 is quite a bit to get a really nice, specific item (or group of items) for someone.

I gave my groomsman custom made and personalized elk calls. We all hunt elk. If you all share a hobby or interest, something personalized relating to that would be nice.

My vote is for a pocket carry item engraved with the groomsman’s initials and date of the wedding. Here are some ideas:

  1. Commerative Leatherman Micra
  2. Commerative gentleman’s pocket knife… Check out Spyderco dragonfly in stainless
  3. Commerative pocket flashlight… Check out 4 sevens atom and I think they will engrave them for you

One or a couple of these and a bottle of decent booze is classy and timeless IMO.

Engrave this knife with their initials.

Quality knife, not expensive, not a huge hunting knife - just a good, solid blade you can bring literally anywhere and will last you for years.

Bro, do you even internet?

Waittz,

I’ve always been a fan of ‘experiences’ as opposed to material items.

What about something like taking your buddies to a [good] local bar and having one of their bartenders give you and your buddies an hour bartending lesson and then just open up a tab for you guys to all get drunk on?

Or seeing if there’s one of those exotic car rental companies in your area and seeing if you can work out a deal where all of you’d be able to take a lambo out for a few laps on a local track or something?

Group skydiving?

Pot brownies and an admission ticket to the local aquarium?

Etc, etc…

x2.

A great experience, and something small to remember the experience by, would work well. Just something that years down the road, they find in a drawer and it triggers all those “ha, remember that time when…” memories.

I really like this idea. Where would I get it engraved at?
