I was inspired by H4M’s 12 eggs PWO and decided to give PWO eggs a try. Had 4 yesterday and maybe that’s why I felt great today? We’ll see…

Settled on a new plan:

Wk1: 3x3, SQ, MP, SDL, IBP
Wk2: 3x1, SQ, MP, SDL, IBP
Wk3: 3x5, FSQ, SMP, CDL, BP
Wk4: 2x10-20, FSQ, SMP, CDL, BP
I like french toast for a PWO meal…protein and carbs
Looks like a solid liftin plan.
French toast… do you use genuine New England maple syrup on that? I should make french toast with buckwheat pancakes… that might be excellent.

thurs 7/22

warm up: GHR/GHR situps, AVG shoulder traction, mil press, muscle snatch

mil press
95,115,135,155x3, 175x1, 185x1,1, 135x12
WG pullup
BWx6x10, BWx11,20

dip
BWx3x10, BWx35+5+5 (35 was PR +5 reps)
chin
BWx3x10, BWx12+2

reverse curl/overhead extension
3 or 4 sets

135 chin/pulls total

Sadly I deleted my squat vids without thinking. Should have taken them off the camera… I thought 475 was a pretty smooth squat too, oh well.

First rep at 185 turned into a tricep extension… started driving back too soon and took the shoulders out of it. Second rep went up much more smoothly. WG pulls were great. Dips were nuts. Curls were good.

I think I smushed a kitten on the way back from the gym :-\ He just darted in front of me and ran like hell just in time for my driver-side tire. I saw other little glowing eyes on the side of the road… I wonder if they were playing a game. Dodging cars is a stupid game, kitten.

Awesome log man! Insanely strong lifting. Keep it up!

I’ve never tried that type of syrup, I just use the cheap shit. Is it pretty good?

OMG you poor deprived soul. Hahaha yes, it is much more than pretty good. I imagine it would cost an arm for a half-pint out in CO though.

Thanks for watching!

After much fighting I figured out how to install and use a decent linux video editor. Now the sound should track properly.

The good mil press, 185x1

Wide grip pulls, BWx20

Wow, you’re a beast.

Hot stuff there.

Haha still got a ways to go I think. Thanks for the comment!

sat 7/24

warm up: GHR/GHR situps, ab/adductor machine, DB swings

sumo dl
225,225,315,405,495x1, 545x0 (oops), 515x1

RDL
225,315,365x10, 405x7

GHR - worked up to BWx25+5+5
leg extension - worked up to 35+10+10 (dear god that was intense)

Calves, stretch

So 495 flew up and I got a little optimistic. 545 broke off the floor, but I lost my arch and decided to drop it. I think it is within reach. Of course I don’t weigh 181 anymore, so I’ll have to pull at least 565 to make it worthwhile. 515 was fine.

RDLs were good. I wish that GHR has a split pad :frowning: might have to get a cup or something because the foot plate isn’t very wide either (i.e. legs have to be close together, leaving no room for the stuff). Leg extensions were pretty crazy. GHRs were also painful, but not as bad as the extensions. Calves were good… they seem to be inflating actually hahaha.

Vid:

Nice work on the 185! Is that the heaviest you’ve pressed?

Yes :frowning:
Someday I’ll get to 225.

sun 7/25

warm up: back raise/situps, AVG shoulder traction, incline press

incline bp
95,135,155,185,205, 225x1, 245x0,1,1,0, (PR +20lbs), 185x10 (PR +1 rep)
CSR - neutral grip
45,90,115,135x10, 160x6,6, 115x15

DB incline fly
20s,25s,30sx10, 40sx10,10+
DB pullover
55,70,90x10, 110x6

Decent day. Looking forward to starting the higher-rep phase. May take a few days off, depending how I feel.

Strong. What is your training weight? We seem to be pretty close on a couple lifts, I’ll be watching!

185, but it seems to be moving up. Hard to tell as the 4 scales in the new gym all give very different weights.

The down side to getting bigger is getting relatively weaker (at least initially).

Turn that frown upside down…you’re OHPressing your body weight, dude. Most people can’t even come close to doing that

Whup, you are a funny motherfucker. That line definitely turned my frown upside down rofl.

tues 7/27

warm up: the usual

front squat
135,185x5, 225x2x5, 135x20, 185x20, 185x15 (oh damn)

seated GM - straight bar
135x2x10, 185x10, 225x10, 275x10, 315x10

back raise/leg extension
fuck/me

stretch, calves

Almost didn’t make it out of the gym. I just wanted to lie down and go to sleep. Front squats took it out of me. Seated GMs were like a nice break. I just did weighted back raises and leg extensions on the top set until the burning was insane, then let it subside and did two more sets the same way. Extremely uncomfortable. Will do again.

High-rep sets of FRSQ were not locked out at the top and were done in a controlled but brisk manner.

wed 7/28

warm up: the usual

seated MP
95x10, 115,135,155,155x5, TUT sets: 115x2x15
super wide grip pullups - hands at rack width
BWx6x10, BWx15

dips
BWx3x10, BWx28+5
close grip pullups
BWx3x10, BWx15

EZ curls/OH extension - reps only (I have no idea how much EZ bars weigh)
10, 6, 8, 10

stretch

Pretty excellent day today. SMP reps were smooth. SWG pullups were ridiculous… felt like i stuffed pillows under my arms due to the lat pump lol. Dips were good… slightly less forward lean this time to hit the tris more. CG pullups were great. Curls/extensions were great. Feels like my arms are inflating!

Been doing the glutamine/probiotic/enzyme protocol described in the gut health thread and I think it is beginning to pay off. This might explain my weight gain as now I can absorb the food I eat!

Lap pump? So that’s what you call it…I’ve never got a stiffie from doing pull-ups but to each their own I guess
