Green Foods

Does anyone take green food supplements such as wheat grass and barley grass?

I’ve been experimenting with a product called Green Magma. http://www.greenfoods.com/products/green_magma.html

I don’t have much experience with this type of product, but for the past couple months of taking it I can attest that I seem to be “up and at 'em” earlier in the morning than I used to be. I’m not necessarily more energetic, just hitting my stride a bit easier.

The thing that got me initiailly interested in them is the claim that each serving contains the nutrition of a pound of vegetables. Vauge and boisterous claim it seems, but there are those that swear by this stuff. Anyone more experieced… ?

I use them when I am trying to detox my system. It seems that the green Magma has enzymes that help me breakdown food better too. When I use this stuff, it seem that the spot in my intestines that sometimes gets a blockage gets relief. When I detox (fast), it helps me keep energy and still left with just the Green Magma & fresh juices as my calories.

i’ve just started back on taking a greens supplement. I usually mix it in with some psyllium husk and OJ in the morning. the claim i heard about what one serving of the greens stuff is that it’s comparable to 10 servings of greens. now that’s a lot of greens and hard to believe. that was until I started taking majorly good dumps (before adding the husk), scars and other blemishes were healing up faster, and I felt a lil more pep in my first morning step (damn cheesy).

read instructions since the one I take, and others I’ve read, recommend a cycle of no more than 6-8 weeks with a 2 week break. one site suggests taking three servings a day. spread out over the day. tried that and it didn’t feel good, it felt toxic.
