Greatest T-Man of All Time?

maybe not T-Man of the year, but these guys are all pretty hardcore. And I’d bet dollars to donuts most of them are natural. (I’m basing this on the assumption that it’s hard to come by steroids in prison.)

I’ve seen this video a few times, and every time I see it, all I can do is wonder what put these guys in prison. The guy with a lifting background especially.

Not saying they should be released because they squat four plates, but I’ve always been curious.

You know that the “T” stands for “testosterone”?
Yeah, watch “Gandhi”. He had balls the size of your head.

I nominate Lt. Jim Dangle

The guy running the comp doesn’t paint a pretty picture. (rapists, murderers.)

I’ve got to ask. What do regular powerlifting comps look like? I’m just amazed at the positive energy, the focus, and unity. No negativity. No trash talk. Everyone rooting for everyone else. The only thing being “competed” against are their old PRs.

But maybe all PL comps are like that, I don’t know.

All I have to say is that these men are in this bleak situation and found a way to rise above it. And for that they have earned my respect.

I don’t even see how this is an arguement.

Hand’s down its Pat Tillman at #1.

A distant second is King Leonidas.

Not to downplay what Tillman did, but there are many professionals who fought in the Army, as most baseball players did in WWII.

I don’t think it’s “hands down” at all.

And King Leonidas? Fuck man, stop watching so many movies. If you want to go for great warriors, Achilles, Beowulf, or Cuchulainn were just as badass as Leonidas.
Except Leonidas was real. And I knew him from Greek history BEFORE 300. But if I had mentioned him on such a thread a year ago, most readers would of said, “Who the f— is that?”

Just fictitious movie characters so they don’t count for much in my book but I nominate:

Capt. Woodrow F. Call
Augustus McCrae

as movie character T-Men.
I second that. One of the best movies…EVER

While we’re talking about fictionalized history. How much of what Ronald Speirs did in band of brothers actually happened? Some of it was pretty bad ass.

As far as I can tell it is true and accurate as is possible.

If that’s the case then I nominate Speirs. That guy was hardcore.

Is it not the T-101?

Yup from what I have read, namely in Richard Winter’s memoirs, Speirs as shown was the real deal. He actually died just one month ago. A crazy, crazy man.

We can also nominate Dick Winter. Incredible soldier and a good man when he came back from the war.

Ultimate T-Man: Jesus Christ

Dick & Rick Hoyt
