As an expert on this topic I have several others I prefer. If we are going old school porn than Brianna Banks (Mirage).

IMO…one of the most misunderstood scenes in movie history; a very layered character; the entire scene comes down to the final sentence spoken…
Dustin Hoffman in Midnight Cowboy.
I’m reading this whole thread, surprised to see everyone is such a connoisseur of film and actors. I find it odd to hold our opinions so high on a subject that we (probably) don’t participate in, of course sports is another example of where this is very common (for those who don’t participate). Does anyone here act? It’s one thing to watch movies, it’s quite another to STUDY the acting.

PersonalIy, I rarely have the patience to watch an entire movie (I’ve lost all patience to do so), I mean who has time to sit and watch a movie? I’d rather do something. Anyone else feel the same?
To add to this thread, in high school we watched “On the Waterfront” with Brando. He seemed so natural, not like he was really “Acting”. He would get my vote, but what the fuck do I know?

But… but… what about your $3,000 collection of VHS porn…

Nice fish
Im not saying he’s number one but I never get sick of watching Christopher walken in films, he has had some very good performances over the years.
Paul Newman, hands down. No one had more onscreen charisma and charm.

Does anyone here make cheese? It’s one thing to eat cheese, it’s quite another thing to milk a goat, pasteurise, culture then separate the curds from the whey (hey that’s my protein powder…) and age that smelly shit in a fucking cave on a remote mountaintop in some far flung shit hole.

. … .as ?
I wasn’t talking about producing, directing, makeup, and lighting, as well as manufacturing cameras, production equipment, film, DVDs TVs and surround sound systems. Which I would’ve had to for your argument to make sense.

Daniel Day Lewis / Di Niro. Probably the former.
Other mentions - Kevin Spacey, Clint Eastwood, Al Pacino.
With that said, how do you even define what it means to be considered the greatest?
Really like that list. Spacey has played some really awesome roles.
The greatest is going to be subjective. If you go by Oscars you can’t go wrong with Daniel Day Lewis or Katherine Hepburn. Most people are going to pick their favorites by what movies they really liked.
You need to add Streep and Bergman to that list.

I agree 100%. This might be the greatest scene ever in film. It at least has an argument.
“Some day this war’s gonna end.” Genius.

This might be the greatest film ever made.
Even Dennis Hopper could show up all drugged up and still improvise some brilliant lines.
Sean Connery, enough said.
Michael Caine, total whore, made Jaws sequel just for the free trip to the Bahamas; but great actor.
While I’m on the subject of Brits, as good as Eastwood was in “Unforgiven”, Hackman stole the movie when he kicked the shit out of Richard Harris.
