Thanks for your input, after talking to doc and you guys my plan is to move to 135mg per week, 3x injections per week (45 mg per injection). I’m thinking if I come at it both ways I should see improvement, I also don’t see 3 injections a week Monday, Wednesday and Friday as too much.
When you take p5p for sightly higher prolactin, do you have to have to keep taking the vitamin to keep it down?
So far, yes. I imagine if I stopped my PRL would return to its higher point
Quickly, plus after a dosage change your levels become unstable so you should feel a dramatic reduction within 4 to 5 days.
As far as changing to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday protocol, it never hurts to experiment with your dosing schedules when searching for the optimal protocol.
Okay good to know, I’m hoping I can feel better in about two weeks. Does making minor changes in frequency (2x to 3x per week) or dosage (just 10mg per week) cause your body to require 6 weeks to stabilize or is that for more drastic changes like 50 mg?
Everyone is different. I feel symptom relief on any dose over 125mg/week and on any frequency under E8D.
I’ve run doses from 125mg to 1000mg/week and feel the same. The only thing I notice is sometimes I’ll get an acne breakout right after a dose or frequency change.
Any dosage increase, decrease and or frequency change even if the same dosage causes level to become unstable.
I see, I may be asking for a lot but I’m looking to stabilize in 2 weeks or so if possible for various reasons… I imagined minor tweaks like a 10 mg dosage decrease versus a 50% increase or decrease in dosage or doubling injection frequency would cause less instability or shorter recovery time but I’m really just guessing at this point.
Sorry but not happening, the time it takes to reach a stable state is dictated by the half-life of the medicine or in this case the ester.
I see, well this is good to know. So the idea of even minor tweaks to protocol taking less than 6 weeks is just not possible then?
It’s good to know moving forward because I think i’m almost at the right protocol but just need a couple minor tweaks here and there but knowing I’ll need 6 weeks of recovery for every little change is kind of depressing.
No, even a minor tweak still requires 5x the half-life to reach a stable state, so if you increase the dosage 5-10mg, it will take 5x the half-life for added T to build up in your body.
You might find the right protocol in the coming weeks, but down the road changes may be needed as your levels will still change on TRT requiring minor tweaking moving forward.
Don’t think just because you find a protocol that gets you the desired levels now that it will be the case in months or years from now.
A year from now you could find T levels low requiring a dosage increase. There is always a price to pay for going on TRT which varies from person to person.
For what it’s worth, when I make changes I usually start feeling different in 3 weeks
I made changes two weeks ago and have felt pretty good the entire time with only minor ups and downs.
Okay well that is good to know, I’m hoping my changes are more along these lines since they’re so minor. Thanks for all your feedback guys
