Here is an article I saw on frontpage mag www.frontpagemag.com/2014/frontpagemag-com/midterm-elections-retribution/. What is your take on the use of the IRS for political intimidation?
You said you aren’t American, what is your nationality?

How and why would that be at all relevant to IRS persecution?

Because this will be another hit and run thread in which the OP doesn’t contribute in the least. I’m curious where he is from.
As a rule I wouldn’t get my information from places that weren’t even attempting to hide their biases. Fighting “liberal bias” with “conservative bias” doesn’t help out anyone. If your website features “responses to left wing critics” and “debates with the left” then you’re biased. Stop playing into the game. The sooner we can knock off this two party which side you on man nonsense the sooner we can get to work fixing problems from our bloated system.
The IRS shouldn’t persecute anyone though, how could anyone NOT feel like that?

Because those who seem to think it’s no big deal don’t realize that that same persecution could happen to them.
They won’t “get it” until a Republican administration persecutes Liberal groups, then we will see the Als, Jesses, Maddow’s, Chris Matthews, Bill Mahers, all in lock step about how wrong it is.

Who in this forum thinks it isn’t a big deal? Point them out to me and I’ll explain why it is.
I am referring to the realm of politics, not so much the PWI forum.

Take a look at the last round of budget cuts:
‘Sen. Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, the second-ranking Democrat in the chamber, said the $6 billion proposal, released Friday, has “pushed this to the limit” on domestic spending. That comment stands in sharp opposition to a House Republican bill containing an additional $57 billion in cuts below 2010 spending.’
So of the two parties who are just the same, one is ‘pushed to the limit’ by a proposal for 6 billion in cuts to domestic spending. The other is requesting over 60 billion in cuts. That seems like a ten fold difference to me. The Democrats never stop spending because that’s how they hold their constituency.
‘Senate Democrats argue that their $6 billion in additional cuts should be calculated on top of the $4 billion in reductions Mr. Obama signed into law last week and $41 billion in new spending Mr. Obama asked for last year…’ - Washington Times

You know why Republicans are championing small government? Because they aren’t in power. Guess who else does that. Democrats. As long as you’ve been around and as versed in history as you are how could you be ignoring the demonstrative truth of the last 30 years of Republican and Democratic power and come to the conclusion that they are vastly different?
Point to me the vast budget cutting they did while last in power? They are pinning their hopes on the fact that you think they are different (those were the RINO’s). If your only point is “well they are bad, but the other team is worse” then you’re part of the problem.
