Why isn’t this guy getting more support in the Democratic field?

Richardson certainly needs to sharpen his message by his own admission - in the debates I saw, he didn’t overwhelm, but then again, it is hard to when the moderator habitually focused on the Big Three.
But this guy has the best resume of them all - and could appeal to moderates-centrists-independents in a general election.
He is much better than the leading candidates. That is why he will not get the nomination.
Why they insist on trying to elect an inexperienced senator instead of an experienced governor with extensive international experience is beyond my understanding.

What I find funny is that no one has mentioned the last time a President was elected out of the Congress. It was Harding the first and only.
The American people like governors, VPs, and military heros.

Mmmhmmm. The media chooses the candidates for us now. Quite sad. No media coverage means no campaign. When they hold debates and refuse to let certain candidates come, how can they possibly rise up?
It’s a sad, and lacking system. George Washington would be rolling in his grave if he could see what we’ve become politically.
He’s terminally boring, so there’s that. The Democratic base is luke warm on him, because he’s parroted the right wing spin a couple times.
Policy wise, I don’t find him interesting at all, except on a couple of select issues… certainly not enough to get my vote. I think his standing in the Democratic polls (4th place?) is appropriate.
