Thanks mate. I really must get around to putting up some better and more relevant stuff up on flickr some time.

I just got of the phone with my mum, she has 3 lens that she used on an olympus film slr about 15 years ago… any chance they would fit mine?

You can use Nikon lenses on an Oly with an adapter that utilises the four/thirds system but not the other way around–unless you have something custom made especially.
I think it may be to do with the layout of the bayonets. I think the Olympus bayonet just won’t fit inside the Nikon one.
Any adapter ring would have to be much thicker to allow the Oly bayonet to sit completely outside the Nikon mount.
This reduces the maximum focus distance (can’t focus to infinity for a start) and thus I couldn’t see too many people wanting one…so no market for these, thus they don’t make 'em.
The M42 adapter Turiel is talking about is for adapting any m42 lense mount eg–Zeiss, Pentax, Praktica, Mamiya, Zenit, to a Canon or a nikon, but it won’t do Oly lenses.
