6 months ago I posted about someone coming into my yard and stealing my dog during august long weekend. I live in a small town and 30k + people show up because its on the beaches of one of the largest lakes in North America and there is a festival every year. Its like being on the ocean.
Anyway, been 6 months, want another dog, so I’m looking at animal shelter websites in the major city an hour away.
Lo and behold, my fuckin dog! I call the shelter - I can go see it, but I need pictures to prove its mine. So I round up the photos, the wife and I drive and down and there she is, my baby.
She had been missing for 6 months, had been dropped off at a shelter 200 KM north of where we live, and then transferred to another shelter 100 KM south of our home. And I found her.
Oh man, that is awesome. I’m so happy for you, really, jsut fantastic. I’m not spiritual, don’t really believe we’re here for a reason, but a story like that … man, it makes you wonder.
That is amazing I can’t believe the shelters hadn’t already put your dog to sleep. Maybe you should think about getting one of those GSP implants for your dog cause I think this kind of miracle happens maybe once every couple decades.
My cat got out of an open porch door when he was a kitten. I thought he was gone, but a neighbor had him for a week before he saw the signs I’d posted. It was so good to get him back, I can’t imagine the relief you must feel.

Awesome I love dogs, fuckin’ hate cats. It was fate, I bet your doggy was going wild when she saw you:D. Glad you got her back really, only a few know the real bond between a human and a good dog.
As A dog owner, I bet you went crazy when she went missing and all of a sudden, the world came back in a sense, when you found her at the shelter. I’m very glad you have her back. Got any pics, how old is she?
I haven’t seen my dog in like 2 months and missing her like crazy… Long story short, she is at my Ex’s place. After we graduated from college we decided to move back home, and agreed to have my dog at her parent’s place cause there is a huge backyard, and mine didn’t have any.
Right now I’m looking for a place that has a backyard for her, hopefully the ex will let me get joint custody of her, if not i’ll take her to judge judy or something…
