I’m curious as to why you think that will happen. I know from reading your posts that you appear very negative about the future. Does this play into your fear, or do you have good reasons why Trump loses by a landslide.

How can you be sure that Trump will nominate even a moderate judge let alone a conservative one? His history suggests otherwise.

I understand the fear that he will not keep his word. But the 11 Justices that he floated weeks back are all conservative. Will he choose one from those 11? I think he will only to show conservatives he is one of them (even though we both know he isn’t).
On the other hand we all know that Hillary will…ABSOLUTELY WILL choose left wing loons to serve on the USSC.

The gamble is that the GOP will have no choice but to accept any nominee Trump puts forth and if they continue to hold a majority that choice will be confirmed (or they’ll lose their seat).
Also, if we are to take Trump at his word then we would also have to accept all of the utterly ridiculous rhetoric that he has been slinging this entire campaign. So he’s either a liar, playing the GOP base for fools, or batshit nuts.
Or a little of both…But seriously once he is elected like any politician, his first job is to get reelected. People say plenty of stupid crap during a campaign. I don’t have to read you the history of dumb comments coming from the mouth of future Presidents. Trump is no different but with one exception, his comments are far more stupid. Aside from that he will fight for his own best interests and those interests include him picking a real conservative.
Hey, at least that’s the way I read it. As for Hillary as I have already said she will go with as many lefty’s as she can pack on the court. The only hope that I have under those circumstances is that the GOP continues to hold the majority.
This is a frustrating part of politics in the 2 party (or maybe belonging to any party) system to me. It prevents the branch from being a check against the other two because they are toeing the company line instead of making good decisions for the country.

Here is a scenario. Hillary enacts an executive order that is unconstitutional. Her newly liberal majority court upholds it. A Republican controlled congress writes legislation to stop her action but doesn’t have enough votes to override a veto. Fundamental transformation phase 2.
The other gamble is the U.S. Senate. Presidents don’t just “pick” justices, the Senate must confirm them. (I know you know that, but Zeb probably doesn’t.) If Trump wins, the only way he gets a really conservative judge or justice appointed is if he has a Republican-controlled Senate. What are the chances that holds in 2016 and 2020? Given the down ballot damage (carnage) Trump could do, even in a victory, it’s hard to imagine the Senate not flipping.
If and when it does, Trump will nominate someone less or not at all conservative (which would be his preference, best I can tell) and claim it’s the best he could do with Democratic control of the upper chamber.
Point is, the chances of everything lining up and Trump getting conservatives on the bench, even if he wins, are nothing to place any faith in.
You’re intellectually limited (to phrase the matter with unearned delicacy) and utterly dishonest and all the other things everybody around here has been openly calling you for months now, but all of this could be at least somewhat redeemed if you were the kind of guy who, when his arrant stupidity and wormishness got him into a conflict, became combative in an interesting or entertaining way. I mean, your toothy stupidity has gotten you into so many e-fights…one would think you’d be kind of good at scrapping by now.
