Also, thanks for the suggestions so far ladies! For those suggesting tailoring, how much should someone expect to pay to make a pair of good jeans great?
Gap’s “curvy” jeans are a disaster for me. They’re not actually “curvy” enough, in the sense of waist being smaller than butt.
I’ve had okay luck at Target (Mossimo, not Merona).
And, though these are not jeans, I’ve found truly wonderful slacks at H & M.
Really tight pants (like in countingbeans’ photo) aren’t my style, so can’t comment.

Clothing distributor is probably the cheaper option, but whatever floats your boat.
