Question: How many black people in Ireland?
According to CIA world fact book (https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ei.html) :

Ethnic groups:
Field info displayed for all countries in alpha order.
Irish 87.4%, other white 7.5%, Asian 1.3%, black 1.1%, mixed 1.1%, unspecified 1.6%

So 1.1% of 4.2 million people is about 46,200 blacks.

You probably weren’t looking for a serious answer, I’m just bored.
Actually, this is what I wanted. Thanks.

Because the Gathering is upon us. Its a time when Black people across world search out one another and fight for the Prize. Whoever wins the Prize will either guide the world into peace and harmony. Or dominate the world and send it into darkness and destruction.

I’m in favor of myself dominating it.

Ok, seeing as you’ll be in Ireland around then, keep one eye on the Heineken Cup while you’re here. There’s a slight possibility of a Munster V Leinster European Rugby Cup final.(Munster and Leinster being two of the Irish provinces and the rivalry between them in rugby is unbelievable Seriously, if that happens, shit will kick-off that night.

Also, Cork is where it’s at!

Oooh! Aaaah! Paul McGrath! I say oooh, aaah Paul McGrath!

Ok, a few tips…common sense really, don’t go down the shitty half lit streets of dublin after dark alone…or just in general (same every city really)

Bring a good jacket, cuz it will rain when you won’t be expecting it.

If you meet a bunch of girls who appear to have a beverly hills accent (like, totally…omg!! etc.), ask them why they pretend to be somethin their not and then tell them to gtfo, D4 bitches! Grr! Unless they’re puttin out ofc

Don’t buy ANYTHING from a gift shop, if you do I will find you (by looking for someone who appears lost, staring at the sky in a woll jumper and a guinness hat) and beat you with said hat.

Go for a walk through St. Stephens green in the day, its nice (like NY’s central park, but less guns)

Get a pizza in the bad ass cafe (in temple bar) then go for pints, and end up in a bad way playin football in grafton St. at 4a.m.

Leave Dublin after Max 3-4 days…seriously, it’s just a city.

Check out Cork, and it’s outskirts, nice city and people, as is belfast (now).

As someone already said, the best crack is over the west, galway and mayo.

Unless you have around 100 euro to spend on drink every day, pick up a few cans or bottles for before ye head out on the town.

While in public, talk openly about guns, bombs, terrorism…whatever, then notice how no-one gives a shit lol

If a smoke alarm goes off, and you’re 6 stories up, in a building made of sticks and petrol…finish your pint, it’s probably just someone foolin around.

Irish chicks dig americans, make the best of it ;)…but dont bring any of that herpee shit over lol.

If you go to the west (Do!), go to achill Island. Get dinner in a seaside restaurant (any), and have a few drinks in a local pub, that’s probably the only place on the planet you might hear “top of de mornin” but more of a chance they’ll say it in Irish, and you’ll just look blankly at them presuming they’re drunk…

Achil is also great for surfing.

Go on a hike through The Burren (Co. Clare), and caving too.

Don’t rent a bicycle, you will become another statistic.

And last but not least,
Go nuts and enjoy yourself

I agree with this, go to Galway city on a night out its serious crack! and x2 on buying cheap shit in a gift shop, dont do it!

Ummmmmmm WUT?

First, thanks for the help, appreciate it. Second, we’re going to be there for one weekend and I’m trying to figure out if it’s better to be in Cork or Dublin. We’ll only be in each city for probably 3-4 days each so I have to decide which one is better on the weekend. I’m not going to get smashed but I do want to hang out in a cool Irish pub. From what I’m reading, Cork sounds more enticing to me but I still need to decide.

Galway & Cork City are great night spots but Galway wins, it has a great relaxed atmosphere!

Dublin is seriously overrated so spend one or two nights there and move on.

The west of Ireland is where it’s at. Definitely take a trip down to Kerry (avoid Tralee) and do the Ring of Kerry especially around Dingle peninsula (look up hostels around the area, there’s plenty).

Check out the coast in county Clare (Cliffs of Moher) there is some serious surfing to be had if thats what you are in to.

Drive up the coast road to Galway and take in the Burren and if you want do the Connemara Loop.

Donegal is unreal, so if you have time (probably not) check it out.

But it all depends on what you want out of this trip. If you are looking for a sense of what Ireland is/was then do some of what I suggested but if you just want to get langered do it in Galway City (pub: Roisin Dubh) & Cork City (pub: The Franciscan Well Brewery, they brew their own). Check out Kinlay House in Galway for cheap accommodation slap bang in the middle of the city. They will give you plenty of info for things to see and do.

Have a nice one…

When I mean relaxed I mean no trouble!

Every city has its scumbags, its just that Dublin has the majority share…
