Me and a buddy will be going to Belize for a week at the end of Sept. Anybody been, got any suggestions?
Shark’s Alley tour’s fun. You get to do some snorkeling and swim w/ sharks (they’re harmless).
Stay out of hte city, etc. Stay in the touristy area as the whole country’s rather poor and a bit depressing IMHO.
They also take USD so you don’t have to exchange your money.
Belize, oh man, you’re lucky.
You aren’t coming back.
If you are into diving or snorkelling, you will be in heaven. If not, you must try them you won’t be disappointed.
DO NOT GO INLAND!!! I was just there in May, and damn, you will be in for a sure-fire culture shock. Desolate, Destitute and decrepid. Inland was absolutely no fun. It was also 110 degrees inland. Dry as bones.
