Go Heavy Fool Vs Escot4

Ok, we’ll use the system that you just posted.

I’m not sure if you already said something about this, but I think for TDs, we should be able to pick the same number if we both predict that. For example, if I think Driver will get 1 TD, you shouldn’t have to pick 2 or 0 if you think the same. Sound good?

Go ahead and start off with your 3 picks for tonight whenever you’re ready.
Yes you can predict the same td’s of course… alot of times we will just wash that catagory unless someone sees an opportunity to pick another # or feels like taking another number. The yardage has to be different. There are so many yardage points out there, we dont need to pick the same number.

Tonights Predictions:

QB1 McNabb 342 yards, 2 td’s
QB2 Favre 290 yards, 1 td

RB1 Westbrook 118 yards, 2 td’s
RB2 Green 79 yards, 0 td’s

WR1 Brown 82 yards, 1 td
WR2 Driver 48 yards, 0 td’s

Oh… one last thing (the yardage predictions have to be at least 5 yards more or less than the others prediction)… to prevent blocking a higher/lower prediction. If the first guy makes a good or bad prediction, its up to you where to put your prediction.

“you must choose, but choose wisely”

Sounds good. Last thing, for RBs and WRs, your yards are rushing and receiving combined, correct?

If so, here are my predictions for tonight:

QB McNabb: 324 yds, 3 TD
QB Favre: 301 yds, 2 TD
RB Westbrook: 123 yds, 1 TD
RB Green: 85 yds, 0 TD
WR Brown: 88 yds, 1 TD
WR Driver: 66 yds, 0 TD

YES!

There’s 9 points up for grabs tonight. 5 is the automatic win. 3 points already washed out on the td’s.

That’s alot cooler than all this bickering … for the rest of us anyway.

Who is “US”… you’re the only idiot that used his freewill and decided to post on a thread between two guys having some fun with fantasy prediction.

Nobody asked you to crawl your ass into my thread and read me and escot’s bullshit.

Now crawl your way back out the door, before I release cujo on your ass.

Freewill people. Read another thread. this one has mine and escots name on it. This is for us to argue.
YEAH! Crawl your ass outta here Slapnutz!

Don’t worry GoHeavy, I got your back bro! haha

Basicly this format is the over/under. i really made 3 predictions, than you took the over under. Then you made 3 predictions and then I took the over under.

If you want to do it that way for yardage thats fine. The first guy makes the projection, and the second guy calls over or under. We’re just playing booky now.

I’ll have to create another format if you don’t like the over/under bidding.

We could have 3 bonus points for getting within 2 yards of the player’s total…

It’s cool. You want in dre? I’ll have to change the format though. right now we have 6 predictions on tonights game, 3 a piece, then we both basicly tok an over or under prediction on the others numberes for the yardage. Td’s will be fun to predict, but 3 catagories already washed out. We have pretty close #'s, but thats because of the over/under set up.

If I change the set up… I will actually predict Favre throwing less than 200 yards tonight. But since he went with 301, all I had to do was take the under which is why I went with 290… he won’t come near that. Favre will be between 150-200 tonight if i am right. We’ll see.
escot4 wrote:

How? In a 12 point system. i have to change the format after tonight. i realized all i did was make it an over/under. I made 3 predictions and so did you. I’ll have to change it so we can predit exact yardage.

I want to take Favre around 190 yards, but since you went 301, there is no point. I can take 295 and still win the point even if he throws 190. Now if he threw 264 and I guessed 260 and you 301… then I would be -4 points and you -37. but since we decided not to do it that way because it was too hard to include td points because they were hit or miss a huge sum of points all at once. I’ll have to come up with another one. Both of our systems suck. this one is just over under. Its really 3 predictions vs 3 predictions. I come up with one that involves 6 accuracy predictions.

Ok, then how about this… We each pick 6 different players, none in common. Then match up our QB1 vs. QB1, RB1 vs. RB1, RB2 vs RB2, etc. Then the points go based on accuracy with yards and TDs. So the only difference is that we are predicting different players.

O.K. NEW SYSTEM for next week.

(((((NEW SYSTEM)))))

Yardage = 1 point subbed from your prediction as it deviates from the actual.

PREDICTION = 100
ACTUAL = 75
You go minus 25 for your total.

Td’s = minus 25 points for every deviation from actual & a 25 point bonus for answering correctly

PREDICTION1 = 3
PREDICTION2 = 1
ACTUAL = 3
prediction1 gets a 25 point bonus
prediction 2 gets subbed 50 points

It’s similiar to your system, but i want the bonus for predicting accurately, this will help even out the points from being yardage easy and TD’s hard.

nah! I don’t like it because we are using different players.

I like your original system, I just want the bonus for the right td’s called. I’ll take the 25 loss swing if I can also take the 25 point bonus for answer correctly.

Ok. We might as well just start it today and re-predict the players.

Do you want to start it off?

No. I got shit to do. We can use it for next week. Give you some time to prepare… you’re gonna need it. I say tonight we just go with that over/under set up. i don’t think its a good set up at all, looks like a wash to me. Either you or I could come out on top in an over under. It’s like a 50/50. But with that final set up we agreed on, there will be a clear cut winner.

So the agreed setup is exact yardage. Subtract points from every actual yard that deviates from the prediction. TD’s are given 25 points answered correctly & subtraced 25 points for everyone that deviates from the actual.

We can do the same setup also with the 6 players too. I’ll pick 3 and put the stats up. Any three starters on any team. Then you do the same. All answers are final after they hit the thread, no changes unless a player is not starting, then we will choose another player, agreed?

We can score by weeks or total points and keep a tally. A tally would be better. Its more accurate. No heads up. We can go to the last regular season games.

Whatcha think?

That sounds good, as long as you’re ready to lose. I like the running tally better as well, since it will be more accurate over the course of the season.

escot4, you may be one of the great minds of your generation… I’ll give you that. But you’re in an unholy land as soon as you stepped in the ring with me. This will be a battle of heavyweights. This may very well be 2 elite guys going at it. I welcome the challange. Smack talk is good. I’m all for that.

One thing though. Second sucks! There are no points for second place. There are no excuses to be made for the loser either. I’ve never been one to make excuses or cry about losing. I will argue my points, but when you’re beat you’re beat. Nobody can win all the time… its impossible. But I play to win. And I very rarely lose at anything.

There is confidence, there is over-confidence, then there is a word that they havn’t invented yet that would describe me. You will be going down. But take it for what it is. Its just a game… and you just happen to run into the best of the best. I like people such as yourself that rise to the challange and arn’t afraid & puss out.

Even though its just a game, it says alot about your character, you’ll find out that this type of shit has alot of carryover even in reality and real life. Most quitters and cowards will never rise to the challange and never have a reason to test themselves. Thats all this is right here, a test. You’ll be finding out soon enough though, whether or not you got what it takes… and this is just a friendly game of fantasy prediction.

Good luck… remember the loser likes to take it up the ass and ask for seconds.

They have, honey. It’s called indomitabless.

You can thus describle yourself as:

Indomitable.
