Women like confidence. You can think of a woman’s estimation of your confidence as the difference between her esteem and yours. If you knock her’s down the difference between yours and her’s increases. Assholes are both confident and they reduce women’s self esteem. It is kind of the inverse of the old addage “Never get into a fox hole with someone braver than you.”
It has nothing to do with the jerks. It has everything to do with nice guys becoming obedient bitches after they hook up with a girl of their dreams or whatever. There’s nothing more dull than a guy who says “How high, Mistress?” when you say “Jump!” If it’s a choice between utter boredom and jerks, girls will choose jerks. Furthermore, most of these girls know that this relationship is not forever, i.e. they’re not looking to marry these jerks. When they grow up and want to settle more permanently, they’ll look for nice guys – guys they can imagine spending their entire lives with.
Frankly, if I had a choice between boredom and jerks, I'd pick singlehood. Given my temper, I'd probably beat the @#$% out of the jerks w/ a barbell if they booze all day long and cheat on me. Or just throw them out the window. Hehe.

But they probably think the same about me. I do agree with natedogg I’ll take a nice chic over the bitch. Sometime I’m like wow she is so hot but…no way would I put myself through that…as I could just feel the attitude coming off her. And this is just the way they walk.
